How do I go about pursuing pediatrics occupational therapy as someone who is a political science major? Is it unheard of, given that I am not a stem major?

I am currently a political science major which I love very much, but I have always wanted to engage in some form of care. I know to work on prerequisites and shadowing hours for OT school, but i am worried my background may not be good for the career choice.

What are the most important factors to consider when applying to grad school?

I would like to go to graduate school for either biology or chemistry (I have not decided yet), but I don't know what my focus should be for my applications over the next few years. I know every school will weight certain aspects differently, but overall should I be more concerned about GRE test scores? My undergraduate GPA? Research experience? Course-work? Essays? What would be most important to ace when sending in applications? How can I go about preparing myself for doing well on these parts of my application? #graduate-school #school #college #biology #chemistry

If I don't get into grad school right away, where should I start looking for work with my current degree even though Biology isn't my intended focus.

Hello all, I am a recent graduate with a Biology degree. I would like to put my focus into grad school and possibly pursue a career in PT or Athletic training. Because of my basic GPA(2.9), I feel as if I won't get into the schools that I want. Also, because my school only offered a degree in biology and not exercise science I feel stuck in a way. I would like to start working but I also want to further my education so that I can land my dream job as well but I don't feel as if i'm totally prepared for that field. My only work experience in the field of PT was when I shadowed as a local hospital near my school. Please offer help. #biology #graduate-school #physical-therapy

How might I go about attending a foreign institution?

Over the summer, I spent time with a French family in a foreign exchange program. The mother of the family highly encouraged me to attend a French university or college due to cheaper tuition and housing options, but I wasn't sure where to even begin applying so I pushed it to the back burner. Now that I've applied to several American schools, I was wondering how, if it would even be possible, to keep the door open for transferring to a school in Europe and what advantages this might have. Especially if graduate school is about to become unattainable for the lower/middle class in the United States, would it be possible to complete my undergrad here and then study abroad for a Masters? #university-abroad #college-transfer #graduate-school

Does completing your undergraduate degree in three years as opposed to four negatively affect your prospects of professional school??

I'm hoping to attend graduate school for veterinary medicine, but I'm curious as to whether finishing my undergraduate studies early would hinder me even if I acquired lots of experience beforehand and completed all of the necessary credits. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks. #college #medicine #graduate-school #school #veterinary #veterinary-medicine #veterinary-school #vet-school #degree

Hi, I am a mechanical engineering senior interested in applying for grad school for next fall. Looking for advice on graduate school

I graduated with a BA in Psychology and a minor in Business Administration about two years ago. For the past several years, I've been working in direct care. I have experience caring for adults with severe mental illnesses, and my current job involves working with emotionally disturbed children. My goal is to eventually go back to school and seek a graduate degree but I'm having trouble narrowing my options down. I'm not sure what direction I should be heading in. I would love to discuss some options with someone who has experience in the field and could give me some more information about what kind of jobs are available. #psychology #graduate-school #psychologist # #business
