Is it worth going to graduate school for art? Would it help me get a better job in that field
I plan on majoring in art in college but I am not really sure what I will be able to use it for after college. So, I would think that going to an even higher level of education for it would be futile, but then again it might help. #phd
Whether teaching experience in graduate school is necessary or at least optimal for securing a post-graduate teaching position at a college or university?
As a newly minted graduate student, I was wondering whether colleges looking to hire post-graduates for teaching positions generally place extensive weight on teaching experience? Once I finish coursework in graduate school, is it advisable to teach classes while working on a dissertation or on comprehensive exams? Or is it recommended to focus on the exams and dissertation singularly? It is unlikely a graduate student will have extensive teaching experience upon completion of the degree, but I am unsure whether schools are generally looking for at lease some if not a good deal of teaching experience. #university-teaching #graduate-school #dissertation

If undergraduate university does not matter, why am I being disregarded and overlooked in the job field and MBA admissions process?
I attend a fairly new, medium size, public state university. I have a 3.94 GPA and a list of involvement and service hours. I want to apply to MBA programs in about a year (after graduation,{grad. Fall 2018}), but I am wondering if the admissions officers will overlook my profile because I attended a low key university for my undergrad. #college #business #graduate-school #college-admissions #mba

In terms of applying to graduate school, would my chances for admission be higher with a Master's degree?
I am a psychology major and graduating in the Fall of 2025. I've been looking to clinical psychology PhD programs, but some programs don't require a Master's degree for admission. However, I don't know if that would make me less competitive when applying. If I could avoid 2-3 additional years of paying for school I would love that, but I don't know if my chances would be better with more schooling. Any advice would be great!
