Q1: I know I want to be a scientist or researcher, but I just want to help people and find cures for diseases or help people in general, by figuring out to make them walk again or anything like that, but what career would that be?

Hi, my name is Miracle and I’m about to start college in the fall, but I’m not sure what to major in and I was hoping that having a scientist answer my questions then that might give me some insight on what to major in. I know these aren’t ideal questions, but I’ve always loved science and science fiction in general, and I want to be a scientist and , I just don’t know what scientist to be. I want my career to be fulfilling and have purpose and to see my work help people. Thank you for your time.

Is it beneficial to sub-specialize in pediatrics?

I want to be a pediatrician, but when I spoke to a family friend who graduated from medical school I was informed to sub-specialize rather than be a general pediatrician. I have considered this pathway, but I am fearful that it will be more difficult to find a job if I go that route. #doctor #medicine #nurse #pediatrics #pediatrician #health-care

Should I become a doctor or an engineer?

I am 12 years old and I dream of living in NY when I'm older but the cost of living in the city can be very expensive. Doctors get paid a lot more than engineers, but being a doctor can be time consuming and stressful. So I just want to know which choice would be better. I want to know how long doctors work, if they enjoy their job, if there's time for family, if they get vacation. And I'd like to know how the workplace is for engineers, how their teamwork is, and if it's really as fun as it seems on TV. #career #doctor #health-care #engineer #engineering
