Should I minor in Marketing or take more business classes that interest me?
I am currently a 3rd year Psychology major who plans to attain an M.B.A. after graduation. I am wondering if I should take a minor in marketing vs. taking other business classes I am more interested in as my elective classes and how it affects my application in any M.B.A. program (whether at my school any other school) or career. Because if I should instead take other business classes that I am more interested I would sacrifice the minor as I do not have time to fit everything in before graduation. How will either way affect my application to business school and my future careers #career #higher-education #college #business #marketing #university

Would it be harder to major in history and to go into business compared to a business major?

I'm not in college yet, but I'd like some ideas for a few years from now when I do go to college. Also, what should I look for in job while I'm still in school, whether it's highschool or college? I'm planning to apply for jobs this summer, but I've never done this before and don't want to go in blind. #jobs #job #entry-level #higher-education #college #first-job
How does one maintain a healthy work/life balance so that the demands of a career or academic goal do not stifle other passions?
I have always had a desire to acquire a deeper understanding of our natural world and its living processes at a molecular level. I am applying to college to pursue Biochemistry/Molecular Biology, with the hope of one day attending graduate school or even taking the Medical sciences route. I know that this will be a challenging endeavor and I am fearful that the workload and long hours will dampen my passion for Science or even stifle other areas of my life that I treasure, like my friendships, sailing and playing hockey. How do professionals maintain that healthy balance so that their studies or jobs do not become their whole identities?
