What is the best advice you could give someone who wants to go into Osteopathic Medicine?

I am mainly asking this question because I am very much interested in the holistic side of medicine and I want to work closely with my patients. #doctor #family-medicine #holistic #natural-medicine #osteopathic

Is it harder for D.O.'s to get the same respect as M.D.'s?

I've recently become interested in #osteopathic #medicine. The philosophy of treating patients as a whole instead of just symptoms appeals to me. However, I've heard that it may be hard for D.O.'s to find residencies that are not biased. I hadn't even heard of D.O.'s until a year ago, neither have many people that I know. Will this effect how I will be seen as a #doctor? #premed #premedical #premedicine #physician #medical-practice #medschool #medical-school #holistic

Psychology Related Jobs for bachelor Graduate :)

Hello! I am soon going to be a graduate of a bachelor of psychology in New Zealand, and I was wondering for suggestions into jobs in this field. I am considering early childhood education and or the police force... so things that are people based (i love kids, but would be happy with any people based job!) focused around wellbeing and or health and wellbeing! What ideas do people have? I'm super extroverted and care alot about life improvement and looking to get some ideas!

How much flexibility would I have as a dietitian?

I got my first bachelor's degree with a pre-med intent. After research and soul-searching, however, I decided that a doctor was not the occupation for me. I learned that many of them take few, if any, nutrition courses. It seems as if many medical schools in the US train people to write prescriptions for one part of the body rather than to understand the body as an integrated unit. I want the freedom to incorporate holistic practices, ancient health techniques, international diets, and the like into my career as a dietitian- not just the conventional American forms of treatment. Am I dreaming too big? #dietitian #holistic #nutrition #wellness
