What types of careers can you have in social work

I was wondering you can have in social work? I want to work with children and in a hospital. I love children and I wanted to be a doctor, but I'm not good with math. I love talking to people and helping families. Since I won't think a doctor career won't be a option for me, but I still want to work in hospital setting. #doctor #social-work #hospital #social-worker #psychiatrist

What does a Hospital Nurse’s life look like outside of work? How much free time do they have? Do the cons of being a nurse take a huge toll on your life outside the hospital?

I am a Senior in high school and will soon be moving on to become a Registered Nurse, and hopefully even specializing further. I found a lot online about a day in the life of a nurse and what that is like, but i was wondering what affect that took on someone's life and how they live outside of the hospital. #nursing #nurse #registered-nurses #nurse-practitioner #hospital

What do you do if you're a senior in college and you still don't know what you want to do with your degree?

I have a bachelor's of science degree in psychology. I'm pretty hesitant about getting my masters for a couple of reasons. For one, I don't know what I want. And two, it's really expensive. I've looked at a lot of jobs, but nothing in this field is really catching my eye. I love to do research and would love to work as a lab assistant. #psychology #internships #clinical-psychology #internship #hospital #life-coach #clinical-research

After completing a physician assistant graduate program, what is the entry pay?

Looking ahead, my plan is to be a physician's assistant. How busy are their lives coming out of graduate school and entering the work force? How's the transition? Is starting a family challenging during this phase of life, or is it manageable? What is the entry pay just starting out? Does the pay raise? If so, by how much and how long? #hospital #physicians-assistant #sports-physician #family-practice

What should I know for shadowing?

I'm a rising senior, and I've always been confused about this. I would love to be a doctor (I'm debating on the type) and would like to shadow my local doctors to see which would be a better "fit" for me, but I don't want to show up naive or seem unintelligent. I don't want the doctor to quiz me or ask me a question such as "are you familiar with this type of disease or medication?", to which, I'm not even familiar with medication disease names! I don't want the doctor to think that they're wasting their time on me because I don't know anything. So my question is, what should I know? Should I cram names of diseases and medications into my brain? Should I memorize the formal name of each body part? I'd like to hear from a doctor's opinion on shadowing and what they'd like to see in a student shadow. Thanks for the help! #hospital #doctor #medicine #pediatrician #shadowing #learning

How do I really know that a career is for me?

I guess this varies for each person, but recently, I've been questioning what exactly is 'right' for me. I get this gut feeling that something is right and that it's exactly what I want, but then I begin to pick at the negative things and then I convince myself that the career path isn't for me. It's like I let my mind talk myself out of some of things that make me the happiest. And with that being said, how do I know if a specific career path is for me? #doctor #career #hospital #life

How do you know if going into the Nursing field is good for you?

I'm interested in going into the Nursing field, specifically in the Labor and Delivery field. I'm Elizabeth and I'm in 11th grade. Some of the skills that are needed to be a Labor and Delivery Nurse (LD Nurse) is having empathy, critical thinking, decision-making and communication skills, which is good for me because I'm good in most of these areas and I like to help people. By others answering my question I will then review them and see their stories and recommendations to my question. The reason why I'm asking this question is I seen a lot of YouTube videos about what it's like going into this field, how they started out and how it's currently going for them and I just wanted to know how other people got interested in this field as well. #hospital #nursing #career #field #highschool # #general

Is there a personality difference between PA's and DNP's and if so, should I consider this when making a career choice?

I understand that PA's tend to be task oriented, check it off the list, get it done and move on type of personalities vs nurses who might have a similar job description, but tend to be more compassionate and nurturing. I definitely tend to lean towards the PA type but my college of choice does not have a PA school. Therefore, should I consider nursing school instead? #nursing #physician #hospital-and-health-care #hospital #medicine #college
