Looking for Advice to Get a Job in Industrial Engineering

Hello everyone! So I have recently discovered the Industrial Engineering and I am very interested in becoming one. I absolutely love improving processes and making things run more efficiently, I'm good at math, good with people. I would love to find a job as an industrial Engineer but unfortunately the school I'm currently at (University of North Texas) does not offer that major. They do have B.S. programs: Biomedical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, Mechanical and Energy Engineering, B.S.E.T programs: Construction Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, B.A. program: Information Technology I would like to avoid transferring if possible for multiple reasons but I know I want to be an industrial Engineer. Any advice on what major I would be most likely to get a job with? Any advice at all would be appreciated because I'm very unsure of what I should do. Thank you in advance! #engineering #general #industrial

Industrial Design and Environmental Science, can I blend them in my studies and make it a career?

I have just recently started to think about college because I'm in my junior year of high school right now, and i have really taken an interest in environmental science. And what I really hope is that once I get out of college I can make a career out of what I have learned and I am not super science savvy so I wouldn't go into a strictly science field. But what i would love is to incorporate something like industrial design into environmental science, because thinking for future career niches, I'm positive we will be needing things to fix our current ecological crisis! I have a lot of leeway as to what career path I want to follow but this for right now seems like the most viable option. Both of these majors could definitely swapped out for something better, but I think anything around this theme of environmental aid and design is something I would love! So would it be possible to even make a career out of these two blended together? And what colleges would offer both of these unique majors? Anything helps! Thank you so much! #college #engineering #science #college-major #design #environmental #industrial

Hello! My name is Julia and I'm currently a senior in high school who is looking at a few career options. An interesting part of of the job is that are many different industries that one can go into with an Industrial Organizational psychology degree. I was wondering which of the industries did you find most fulfilling? Or which one did you think allowed you to use most of the skills you learned? Thank you! #organization #pyschology #industrial

What steps do I have to take to become an industrial engineer?

Hello, I'm having a hard time picking a major in what I would like to do. Currently, I am majoring in biology but I'm starting to think it is not for me. I am thinking about taking on a career in math. Industrial engineering seems to be compatible with me. I am very social, math clicks, and I like how industrial engineering falls into so many categories. You can do anything with that. However, my college only has programs for Chemical Engineering Civil Engineering Electrical & Computer Engineering Industrial Technology Mechanical Engineering Petroleum Engineering. I am not sure where to start to become an industrial engineer with these options. It would be a dream job to work with Disney World but I'm not sure how to get there. Also, how would I come about contacting an industrial engineer? -Thank you #career #engineer #major #advice #industrial #disney
