Considering that the Covid situation won't end soon do you think there will be remote internships in the IT field? How do I know I have found the right career?
When I ask people how they knew that their current career was the right one for them they usually answer with "you just know" or "I'm happy" or "it just feel right". In a general sense I understand that but since I have not experienced it I am questioning if the vagueness of *just knowing*. What if I don't know? I'm not working yet (since I'm a confused college student) so how can I know I will be happy in that job? #career-counseling #career-development #job #career-paths #career-finding #july20

Accelerated Master's Program vs Minor
I will be attending college to study computer science this fall, and while I have time before I can apply to be part of the accelerated master's program, I want to plan out my college path in advance. I do plan on getting a master degree in the future, but I am also considering to do a minor in cyber security. However, I do not want to do more than I can handle. I would like to know whether I should do an accelerated master's degree or a minor in the coming years. #college #july20

A lot of people advise getting closer to your professor better because they can help in many different ways in the future- whether it be recommendations or possible internship opportunities. How do I prepare myself for the job searching world after college while in college?
From what I understand, job searching is hard, time consuming, and takes a lot of emotional patience. Finding a job, applying to the job, waiting for an interview, having the interview, waiting for a response, getting the response, (if accepted) waiting till you start, (if rejected) restarting the entire process. How do I not only prepare for this but cut down the time, effort, or frustration it would take if I started job searching blindly? #jobs #job #first-job #job-search #career-counseling #career-paths #july20

What the key differences between undergraduate and graduate school?
I'm a current undergraduate student who will be graduating in the spring (if things go according to plan), and while graduate school wasn't originally part of my plan, it's something I've begun considering. I've found that there seems to be less advice out there regarding grad school as opposed to undergrad, possibly because graduate school varies a lot more depending on which field you're planning on going into. For reference, I'm considering pursuing a Master's in Higher Education, so I'm wondering what to expect from graduate school. Is it more hands-on than undergrad? Did you feel that it was more demanding because you had to balance studies with an assistantship or something like that? #school #college #schools #colleges #graduate-school #graduate-schools #university #universities #undergraduate #graduate #undergraduates #graduates #advice #college-advice #experience #experiences #future #masters-degree #degrees #degree #higher-education #education #july #july20 #scholarship

How can I become part of an archival admissions team?
Some of peers that graduated with B.Archs have gone on to work in museum admissions offices for archival teams.
