After graduation, how do I find tech companies who are hiring non residents of USA and stand out among huge mass people?

#JULY20 #job_haunt #international_student My major is computer science and I’m an international student. After graduation we can apply to work for a year as a part of practical training. But I’m worried about my career after that because my one year work permit will expire and can’t be renewed since I’m a non-resident of US. I have to find a company who can sponsor H1 visa so that I could continue my work. There are millions of international students, permanent residents/citizens of US, people with greater work experiences applying at the same time as me. How do I find tech companies who are hiring non-residents of USA and stand out among those huge mass people?

What is the best way to organize school supplies for multiple classes?

I want to make it easier to remember and easily access my papers and materials for multiple classes. I have tried using binders for each class, as well as one binder for all of my classes. Is there a productive way to organize my stuff to be convenient and helpful? I will have around 8-10 different classes. Each will likely need a place to keep homework, course material, and notes. Thanks! #JULY20

Are recruiters looking more into creative (colorful) or formal (black and white) resumes?

I am a current student looking into applying for social media marketing jobs and other positions in the marketing field. I have had submitted my minimalistic creative resume but I have always been curious if one option is better than the other in the eyes of a recruiter. Oh, and how do we know which to use? #marketing #resume #student #JULY20

I'm thinking I want to study something more technical at university next fall. How do I narrow it down?

I am undecided, so whenever I start describing what I want, it usually seems to me like "engineering", which I know is a broad topic. How do I pick a more specific subsection of engineering or even know if that's right for me? Can somebody explain what jobs you do with any sort of engineering degree or what you learn with it? And does anyone have a good method that they used for figuring out what they wanted to study? #JULY20 #undecided #engineering #university

Is it better to study journalism/communications or Academic subjects to become a Journalist?

So basically, the dilemma here is that I have recently decided to try to become a journalist, and I was wondering if it would be better to do an academic university degree (e.g. international relations, politics etc.) to build a broad foundation of knowledge and then transition to journalism, or to directly study journalism/ communications in order to equip myself with the skills/ techniques required for journalism? Any help would be very much appreciated! #july20 #journalism #communications #reporting #internationalrelations #politics #academicVSvocational #career

I am a Cambodian American student studying Library Science in Fall 2020. Some of the challenges I am facing is the lack of diversity I seek in the program. I've heard that the colleges we attend affect the hiring process when we graduate. How do I tackle this problem?

I’ve recently graduated from LaGuardia Community College with AS in Computer Science and I’m applied to transfer to 4 different CUNY universities. Many people tend to go to big and renowned universities like MIT, Harvard and many more. How do I get a leg up if I didn't attend one of these big name schools? #college #JULY20

Educational changes predicitons

The 4th industrial revolution is upon us (or so we're told and everything is changing). While there's always been requirement for careers to adapt and an expectation for schooling systems to follow it's been mostly infrastructural changes with little delivery and duration changes. How can schooling system be optimized to make the most of the changing world! I'd love answers that involve some sort of reduction in the overall time it gets to finish primary, high school, and tertiary, or all. #JULY20 #careers #education #4ir

I started dual enrollment in summer of transfering to 10th grade and I plan on graduating high school in December 2020. Is it normal for a company to offer internship work without compensation?

Training for a job on my resume?

I was hired for a teaching position in March and I completed all the training, but then all the in-person classes were cancelled and they didn't have enough online students for me to teach online. I still technically work there and I'm waiting for classes to return to in-person. Should I include this on my resume? The training was around 24 hours and quite hands on so I think I learned a lot. #jobs #july20 #july #resume #covid19 #teaching #training

Asides from being a researcher working in labs, what other jobs this major would lead to?
