How do you know that the career you are pursuing, is the career that you actually want to pursue?
One of my biggest fears in life, is that I’m on the wrong track and that I won’t actually find out that I’m on the wrong track, until it’s the end of the road. At the moment I’m pursuing a degree in international business, but often feel like my heart is in digital communication and/or education. I’d like my career to fulfilling and meaningful and not just something I do to get by. #career #career-counseling #careers #career-path #career-choice #JULY20

What is good advice to get prepared for Teacher Certification Exams?
I am currently studying an undergraduate degree on Middle School Education in Texas. Although I am about to start my second year of college, I will be graduating earlier than usual and would like to start getting prepared for the certification tests. I am kind of concerned since I am an international student from Mexico and I am not yet 100% familiarized with the American education system, and I think it would be key to perform better on the tests. #education #JULY20 #JULY #teachercertification #career #college #ESL #Texas

How did you stay positive when writing about touchy topics?
I have yet to publish any of my writings because of fear of rejects. I find it hard to see my own writing as good or with a good topics. For example, the story I'm currently writing deals with the controversial idea of "Black Self-hatred". I'm also planning on writing about another controversial idea that deals with Christianity. Having my first stories be so controversial isn't really motivating me to turn my writing hobby into a career because I fear the type of backlash I would get. #writing #stories #book #controversial #july20 How do you work around the fear of backlash in order to create stories?
In a world where passion has been overtaken by gluttony, what do you think is important while finalizing a career choice, money or passion?
Being a indecisive person myself, how can I ensure I take calculated risks in a career I'm passionate about and acquire financial stability and independence. The bitter truth about my career choice is it's low income and I would like to have a perfect work life balance, so how can I make money and still persue my passion, or should I place one over the other? This is a general question and is open for all, regardless of career. I would like to hear different viewpoints and experiences of individuals. #JULY20 #life
Should I double major in music and microbiology?
I'm a rising senior and I am thinking about becoming a physician assistant. I have been playing french horn since 6th grade and also have a big interest in medicine. The problem is that I am not sure if I should double major in music and mcb or just microbiology. I want to have enough time during my undergrad years to join clubs, shadow other PAs, potentially conduct research, perform with an ensemble, and have a lively social life. Will this be possible if I double major or should I just stick to one? I feel that as a double major, I will stand out from other applicants applying to PA school. #college-major #music #medicine #physician #healthcare #doublemajor #physicianassistant #july20
What were some of your concerns about pursuing a career in the culinary field? How did everything work out in the end?
I have my own reservations about entering the culinary field (e.g. an unstable source of income, expensive training/schooling, a work-life imbalance), so I'm interested in hearing more about other people's main concerns as well as how it all turned out in the end. Personally, I'm interested in becoming a pastry chef. #culinary #culinaryarts #bakingarts #pastrychef #chef #culinaryschool #JULY20
