I would like to learn multiple languages at once and get a Masters degree. What is the best language to learn as a beginner to becoming bilingual if English is your first language ?
I am a freshman in high school the end of the year is this Thursday, the last day of school. I decided to learn a new language over the summer since I would like to become a nurse or travel nurse, or just something that allows me to help others as much as possible. However I have struggled with keeping a consistent schedule for learning the languages I really want to learn and some of them are a bit complex so I was wondering what language I should start with before I move on to the languages I really want to learn. The languages I have previously tried learning are Korean Spanish Thai and French. Those are just some I have tried, I want to learn more but those are the ones I want to start with.

What are free ways to learn Korean?
I have a dream of visiting Korea and taking dance classes, going to a concert, and whatnot. Yes, I am one of those people who like k-pop and the culture. Literally so amazing. First, before I do travel to Korea, I have to learn Korean, but anyway I have tried, and it hasn't stuck in my head. I want to travel to Korea when I am 18, but whenever I try to learn Korean, it never sticks in my head/brain. #CV23
Which major is better for the study of Asian Languages???
Hello, I am currently thinking about what I am going to be majoring in. I would like to be able to learn Asian languages (Japanese, Korean, etc.). I have done some research and I see there are so many options to choose from. I could major in Korean, Japanese, Asian Studies, or Linguistics. I am not sure which to choose from. I found two colleges that offer these courses, Ohio State University and Pomona College. (By the way, I mostly want to learn Korean, and I am also interested in studying abroad.)

Chinese vs German
I'm trying to decide what language I want to take for high school. As I've talked about before, I've been thinking about taking a train apprenticeship. The rail company is based in Switzerland, and a lot of their instructions are in German. So if I take German, it would help me get my foot in the door, and it might get me higher pay. But, I do plan on joining the military, and (Mandarin) Chinese is a mission-critical language, and more valuable. But both languages might get me an extra $300 or so more in pay a month. #military #college #business #finance #college-major #entrepreneur #train #rail #money-management #high-school #language #money-management #chinese #german #language #high-school #college #career

Is it possible to learn scientific terms in another language while studying science in English?
I am already bilingual (speak English and Spanish), but my Spanish-speaking abilities still lie a lot more on the informal/conversational side rather than formal/technical. I know that just knowing another language will benefit me no matter what, but I feel that it won't help me as much in my career unless I can actually speak professionally in either language. Is there a feasible way of learning the new terms in Spanish alongside the English ones without feeling like I'm overloading my brain? Or should I leave that more for outside the school year/after graduating? #science #stem #women-in-stem #language #foreign-languages #study #studying #studying-tips

Is it a bad idea to pursue a study abroad program that will neither apply to my major nor provide me credits that I don't already have?
I am a psychology major and am currently interested in applying for 2 very different study abroad programs. One is a psychology program and the other is a Spanish program. I ask this question because I already obtained all the language credits I need from high school but I still wish to learn and practice Spanish to a more advanced level because it's simply a strong desire of mine to become a more fluent speaker. What better way to do that than by immersing myself in a culture that speaks Spanish as its primary language? At the same time, I constantly wonder if it is a waste trying to pursue the Spanish program out of mere interest instead of sticking to applying for programs that will go towards my major. #study-abroad #language
