Does anyone know any universities that have master programs that in Multilingual Studies?

I would like to learn multiple languages at once and get a Masters degree. I've been searching the internet and have had no luck finding a program that teaches multilingual studies and/or Master program that has a "study aboard" opportunity to learn the language of one's choice. Any suggestions? Any feedback would be helpful at this point. Thank you!

What are ways to interact with international students online for free?

I am interested in studying in Germany. Are there any free online exchange programs or volunteering/internship organizations that can improve my German skills or help me learn about Germany or just get some experience in German-based work? (Or other countries?)

What career opportunities exist after obtaining a degree in classical languages (Latin/Greek)?

I am currently a rising sophomore in high school going into my 4th year of studying Latin. I am on an advanced track to finish the usual sequence at my school by the end of 11th grade, after which I might consider taking college courses on the matter, and potentially major in Classics in college. My only hesitation is what to do after college: Other than the obvious (teacher/professor), what jobs exists for those with a classics degree?

Which major is better for the study of Asian Languages???

Hello, I am currently thinking about what I am going to be majoring in. I would like to be able to learn Asian languages (Japanese, Korean, etc.). I have done some research and I see there are so many options to choose from. I could major in Korean, Japanese, Asian Studies, or Linguistics. I am not sure which to choose from. I found two colleges that offer these courses, Ohio State University and Pomona College. (By the way, I mostly want to learn Korean, and I am also interested in studying abroad.)

I'm planning on studying Linguistics, and would love to learn new languages while I do so. Is there any language certifications I can get at a State level to put on my CV without having to take a class?

I'd like to learn languages without having to take a class because I can work at my own pace and study what I want in a language at any point in time. However, I feel that having a certification or award would look better on a resume than just self reporting. If you could give me ideas about what I could do, it'd be a big help. FYI: The college I'll be attending only has Linguistics as a major, with all subsections currently informal. Thank you! #languages #linguistics #certifications #resume

Can I become a psychologist/therapist in another foreign country?

I want to know if I can be or get a job as a psychologist/therapist in another foreign country. I would love to travel to another country to do what I like to do and help out others with their problems. I am mostly interested in Japan and Korea because I know there are teens who are going through stress who can't seem to seek the help or support that they need in order to overcome their stress or other problems. #psychology #school-psychology #languages #foreign

In which career in the psychology/therapy fields would ASL and foreign languages be most valued?

I speak 2 languages (including English) fluently and 3 more at varying degrees of functional fluency. One language I know that I think is particularly unique is American Sign Language, which I learned in school and at an academic summer camp. Now that I'm thinking about potential career choices in the fields of psychology and therapy, I wonder where my language skills would be most valued. I mean this in the sense of the value of being able to help a community with less resources available to them, and also in terms of the financial value this career path would have to me. Especially, I wonder if I could make a big difference by working with people in the Deaf community--are there already a lot of people doing that? I really want to work in therapy much more than in psychology, as far as that makes any difference in answering this question. Thanks in advance! #psychology #language #social-psychology #child-psychology #school-psychology #languages #moral-psychology #american-sign-language

What are possible careers that I could go into that combines language learning/traveling with a computer science degree?

I am a high school senior, and a few months ago I found out that I had been accepted into Brown University under Early Decision. I am having trouble deciding what I would like to concentrate in because I have a passion for both language learning (possibly hoping to concentrate in International Relations) and Computer Science. While I have been leaning more towards concentrating in Computer Science, I would greatly appreciate if someone could help me think of possible careers that could combine my love for language, culture, and travel, as well as computer science. Thank You! #computer-science #college-major #career-paths #career-options #languages
