Internship
I am pursuing bachelor of computer applications. I have to do a summer internship for a month for my academics. Since I did not got a tech internship for such a short period of time , I decided to do an internship provided by a college. The internship I am doing is not related to technical wok. It is a marketing research intern. In internship I am doing marketing research as well linkedin marketing. My question is since it is not related to my work field, still I have to invest my time , what useful things I should ask for to learn and practice. A few friends have informed me that before I graduate to start applying for jobs. Few have told me to use websites such as indeed.com , linkedin.com , etc. I have been using indeed often but pretty much all requirements for the jobs I am interested in want experience of a few some odd years. Linkedin is awesome! It is something I highly recommend every college student should create and explore. I know it does not come quickly, so I've got to be patient but it is hard to find jobs. What are some good ways to get connected with more people? I have a LinkedIn, but I feel like that isn't very good at expanding contacts yet. I've searched on the internet for people, but I couldn't find any people. I want to meet more people at different jobs and careers and understand what people are going through.
