Internship
I am pursuing bachelor of computer applications. I have to do a summer internship for a month for my academics. Since I did not got a tech internship for such a short period of time , I decided to do an internship provided by a college. The internship I am doing is not related to technical wok. It is a marketing research intern. In internship I am doing marketing research as well linkedin marketing. My question is since it is not related to my work field, still I have to invest my time , what useful things I should ask for to learn and practice. As well in linkedin marketing what are the industry useful things I should learn?

I don't have Linkedin Premium so what I do is connect and send a personalized message. Is it rude if I do this formula: (salutation + small intro, where we met + directly question what I want to know from that professional)? OR do you prefer to (salutation + small intro, where we met + an open-ended question?)

**For everyone who doesn’t have a LinkedIn and is reading this, I’d advise you to make one right now! It helps a lot, and even just making one and adding new things to it helps so much! LinkedIn is getting increasingly more popular with both employers and job-seekers. My university highly suggests making a LinkedIn, and offers tons of workshops and presentations to urge students to get… linked in (pun most definitely intended). On Linked In, there are options for including accomplishments, projects, volunteer experience, and more. Is it better to include everything you’ve done on Linked In, or just the more important or more interesting parts? I understand it's better for your profile to reflect a balanced profile, but this gets fuzzy at times. For example, I’m currently a freshman in college. A few friends have informed me that before I graduate to start applying for jobs. Few have told me to use websites such as indeed.com , linkedin.com , etc. I have been using indeed often but pretty much all requirements for the jobs I am interested in want experience of a few some odd years. Linkedin is awesome! It is something I highly recommend every college student should create and explore. I know it does not come quickly, so I've got to be patient but it is hard to find jobs.
