Master's or PhD for Marine Biologist?
Hi! I am currently pursuing my Bachelor's in Biology. I am also conducting water conservation undergrad research and conducting my own research projects is something I really enjoy. Ultimately, I want my graduate degree in Marine Biology and to conduct hands on research on coral reefs. I have been going back and forth between getting my Master's or PhD in Marine Biology after the completion of my Bachelors. I definitely want to end with a degree higher than Bachelor's. Is having my Master's or PhD after undergrad more beneficial for this field?
Which Career should I choose Theatre or Marine Biology?
They're completely different, but they are both significant to me. For instance, I love acting, I've been doing it my whole life and can't imagine myself without it! It makes me the happiest I've ever been and brought me out of my shell of anxiety. It's made me who I am. However, I also love the ocean, animals, and swimming. Also, for marine biology, you have to write essays, which I also love doing.

I’m thinking about applying to USC as either a pre-health biology major or a pre-health marine biology major. I want to attend vet school in the near future and wanted to know which one would be best to do or if I should major in something else that would set me up for success in vet school.
I also wanted to know what the job options would be if I didn’t get accepted into vet school if I did major in one of these. Note: this question was asked anonymously by a learner

I'm a small town senior getting ready to graduate and I don't really have anyone to help me prepare for college. I know I have to get a bachelors in Biology and then somehow 'specialize' in Marine but I also want to major in oceanography and engineering. I want to get my PhD so that I can research on my own but don't know how to get there. #college #college-major #biology #graduate-school #architecture #marine-biology #college-minor #oceanography

Does it help when looking for jobs to have a Ph.D. in marine biology?
I have wanted to get my degree as a marine biologist through Coastal Carolina University ever since I was in middle school, which was when I first started learning about marine life. I've known that marine science is the only Ph.D. program available at Coastal Carolina, but I am unaware of how much it will help me when applying for jobs as a marine biologist. It is a lot of money to get and a lot more education, but if it is worth it I will definitely be doing it! #marine-biology #doctorate-degree #biology #career #science-phd
