I am planning to take AP Calc, AP Physics and AP Computer Science, next year. How can I manage my time better so I can reach my goal of having a 4.0 this year while having extracurriculars and SAT preparations?

For context, I am taking 3 APs and an astronomy community college class. I am struggling the most with astronomy, physics, and math. I am also the Junior Officer for an aerospace organization at my school called Aerotech and I am a writer and editor for a club called ARRAS (Arts and Magazine Club). In addition to this, I am currently working on a research project and thinking of making a research club for my school and dabbling in music production (hopefully I can start producing music once I can effectively manage my time). In short, I have too much on my plate.

How do you choose whether to major in computer science or software engineering?

I am applying for college soon, but I do not know how to pick between computer science and software engineering. I have not always been the best at math, and didn't do very well in math early on in my highschool career, but I managed to work my math grade up over the years. I am not naturally amazing at math, but I do find it interesting. #computer-science #computer #engineering #math #software

I'm stuck in my math major, what should I do?

First I'll share some quick background. Currently, I'm a third-year undergrad at University and I initially declared a math major. I enjoyed calculus and all the computational math classes I have taken so far. Still, now I'm taking the more theoretical abstract math and I find that not only do I not enjoy it but I really struggle through it. At first, I was considering an actuarial career, I even interviewed with some companies and was working on passing my first exam, but I quickly became burned out and found that I wasn't enjoying that either. I love accounting as I'm taking Financial Accounting this semester which would have been a part of my Actuarial Science minor. What's unfortunate however is I really can't switch out of my math major, my uni's policies make it impossible. I already have 96 credits because I obtained a bunch in high school (which are irrelevant to my degree) and this makes the idea of transferring kinda hard as well. I would still need to take 8 more math classes to finish my degree, and I'm scared of that idea. I'm assuming becoming an accountant is still possible if I do a minor and then do a Macc afterward, so is this likely the best thing possible for me at the moment? Are there other jobs for math majors that could potentially suit me? I'm okay with coding, it's not my favorite but I like SQL. Any advice from someone who had to stick out a degree they didn't really love? Thank you in advance.

What are some colleges that are strong in math, art, and science?

Hi, I'm a sophomore in high school, and I'm interested in math, art and science. I'm starting to think about what colleges I will want to apply to, and I was wondering what are some I may want to look at. Do you have any recommendations? I'm not really sure about the size of the school I would like at the moment, but I do know that I would love if it were by or on the beach. I also don't really know whether I want to go to a private school or a public school, but I wouldn't want to go to a religious school. Thanks in advance! #college #science #college-major #art #math

How much do you truly use math in architecture (without going on Google or use any type of website for calculation)?

I have been very interested in houses and architecture since I was a little girl. I love observing houses with cozy and unique features. I have considered real estate, which is a fantastic career, but I will always choose architecture. I would love to know more about this profession!!

What courses in college should I take to become a forensic scientist?

I've thoroughly enjoy science and math in high school throughout the years. I've seen numerous shows and have read several books about forensics and crime scene processes. I know generally a forensic major has to take several science, math, and law courses, but I would like to know specific courses that would help lead to a career in forensics. #law #math #forensic

How do I proceed when I have a lot of possible careers but not enough experience in any to work full-time?

I realized late into my college experience that I didn't want to work a math job at all so I finished out my Math degree and am now struggling to find a full-time job I feel qualified for. I have a list of 5 or so potential careers (Including but not limited to: Singer-Songwriter, Writer, Naturalist, Photographer, Artist), but I don't feel like I'm at the point where I could pursue any of them full-time. I'm wondering if I should just get a math job and explore the other options in my free-time, if I should just find any job related to my current interests, or if I should put off getting a full-time job until I get a little clearer in my objective. I'm alright on cash for now, I'd just prefer not to live with my parents for longer than I have to. I'm most likely overthinking this and you probably would need some more information to give a solid path forwards, but whatever. I'm here to listen. Thanks for all your help!
