Calling all physiatrist, ER doctors and primary care physicians!

I'm debating on going into medicine and narrowed it down into three choices. Do you mind telling me what you do in your career? How are the people you work with? What was your pre-med degree and what was it like in med school? #doctor #medicine #medschool #medical-school #physician

With wanting to major in veterinarian sciences, what classes do you believe I should focus on the most when attending college and will those classes determine where I can go for med school?

Hello! A little back ground information about me! My name is Emily Salazar and I am currently a high school senior. My dream career is wanting become a veterinarian someday in the future also possibly owning my own clinic! With my love for animals since I was young, I have had this dream since I was five years old and I want to make it come true someday! With this pandemic affecting a lot families around the United States and the world, including my own, I want to have the opportunity to be able to afford to go to college, especially since both of my parents are unemployed at the moment and with my father being diagnosed with caner back in November of 2019, the majority of our money goes towards possible treatments as well as medical bills and I've been trying to get a job for myself but it is really difficult at the moment with my situation, as well as the pandemic playing a role in that. But one main question that I really wonder is what classes are important to focus on and take in college for my future career? Are there certain requirements that need to be fulfilled in order to go on to medical school? Should I have to worry about taking extra classes or would the school just tell me what classes I need? I am also wondering if the specific class I take will help determine if I get into med school or not. Thank you for your time and have a wonderful day! #veterinarian #medical-school #classes #school #vetsciences #student #higher-education #medicine #graduate-school

What kind of major do you have to do during college to be an Anesthesiologist?

Hello, so I've been looking through questions that other people have asked about what it's like to be an Anesthesiologist or how to be an Anesthesiologist. I've seen some people say you only need to take classes like chemistry, biology, physics, calculus, and etc. and can major in something else. While others say you need to major in science. #doctor #college #majors #anesthesia #anesthesiologist #medical-school

Should I apply to PA school or medical school?

I'm a senior in college now, and I'm just finishing up my pre-med courses. After I graduate, I am planning on taking a gap year. If I want to go to medical school after the gap year, I should plan on taking the MCAT in the coming months and apply in May. I don't know why, but I'm having such a hard time figuring out if I want to go to PA School or medical school (MD/DO). I'm serious about my education and want to be extremely knowledgeable if I ever have patients/become a physician. That being said, I don't know if four years of medical school on top of a gap year is something that I will regret. Also, I don't have any research experience/shadowing experience right now, so I wouldn't even be able to put that on an application (or could I, if I was planning on doing these things during my gap year?) So should I become a PA? Those who chose the medical path instead of PA, can you explain how you came to that decision? And those who chose PA school rather than going to MD/DO, what led you to that decision? Do you wish you had autonomy/is it a burden to not get the final say in decisions? #medical-school #doctor #physician-assistant #PA #medicine
