i am considering joining the military, would this be a good path for joining the SWAT, or become a Secret Service Agent?
I am currently getting my training for protective services and after I graduate I am planning on joining the military. But at the moment I'm not entirely sure if that's the best course I should take and would like some intel from someone who has more experience and know more than I do. #government #military #law-enforcement

I can either do a Summer Seminar at one of the service academies (USAFA, USMA, USNA), FLC at Norwich University, or a 16-day Humanitarian Trip (Probably a HEFY trip). #college #job #career #college-advice #job-search #resume #humanitarian #military #job-application #networking #academy #efy #university #seminar #hefy
Move to a big city or join the military?
I graduated high school about two months ago and I've been attending summer school at my local community college. Durring these few short months, I've felt the reality of life setting in. My family is driving me mad and I need to move out I also feel terrible as I haven't truly been able to provide for myself. I've considered joining the military as an enlistee or as an officer, or alternatively moving to a large City and looking for work there so that I can put my back against the wall and really have a reason to push. I'm not sure exactly what I want to do specifically, but I love biology and medicine so I was thinking of studying molecular biology regardless of where I go. In summary, what would be the reality of joining the military as an enlistee, (or an officer two years down the line) or heading to somewhere big and busy? I'd really like to hear from people that experienced this themselves, thanks for taking the time to check this out. #military #college #moveout

How will colleges view my academic profile?
So I accepted the apprenticeship for the rail company. But the problem is that it's every other day. (My school is set up as an A/B day with different classes on either day. So I go to the apprenticeship one day, and go to school the other.) So I can't take all the classes I want to. It looks like a great opportunity to get my foot into the door for the engineering industry, and it pays $10/hour for my first year, $11.50/hour my second year, and $13/hour my third year. I get an associates out of it and a guaranteed job after it. It's the first apprenticeship in the state, so I'd be one of the very few (12 or so) pioneers. But I will also have to quit my job that pays $9.00, and the people there are really fun. I can't take any AP classes during school, and I'll have to take online classes after school to catch up on credits. I'm just curious how colleges and employers will view it. I'm also doing cross country. So will it look better if I do an apprenticeship (It might be fun and has good training, but I honestly probably won't complete the three years)? Or, will a strong academic record with athletics and an after school job look better? #college #engineering #career #computer-science #medicine #science #technology #engineer #tech #college-major #education #biology #any #math #acting #mechanical-engineering #mechanical #english #aviation #military #chemistry #robotics #physics #airline-industry #biomedical-engineering #information-technology #writing #high-school #aerospace-engineering #pilot #aeronautics #ap #navy #author #marine #army #band #community-management #air-force #schedule #marines #armed-forces #hashtag #pathway #airline #career-pathway #fighter-pilot #raptor #civil-air-patrol #first-responder #business #fun #apprentice
Should i stay in the military ( Marine Corps ) or become a police officer/Sheriff?
My plan is to do complete my 4 years in the Marine Corps as 0311 infantrymen then EAS out to become a Police Officer/ Sheriff to benefit my future. On living, paycheck, lifestyle, and family. I was thinking doing this can help me boost my chances to join the Law Enforcement. Don't get me wrong, I really don't mind doing 20 years of the military but it won't get me a lot of money? #Military #Law #law-enforcement
How do companies view military service?
When hiring, do companies view military service as a good or bad thing? If it it a good thing, what branch looks best? Marines, Army, Army National Guard, Air Force, Air National Guard, Navy, Coast Guard? And does it look better to have been an enlisted or officer? (I'm guessing the best combination is Air Force Officer) #military #any #army #pilot #navy #coast-guard #aviation #marine #marines #college #career #major #technology #hiring #future #company #corporate

Chinese vs German
I'm trying to decide what language I want to take for high school. As I've talked about before, I've been thinking about taking a train apprenticeship. The rail company is based in Switzerland, and a lot of their instructions are in German. So if I take German, it would help me get my foot in the door, and it might get me higher pay. But, I do plan on joining the military, and (Mandarin) Chinese is a mission-critical language, and more valuable. But both languages might get me an extra $300 or so more in pay a month. #military #college #business #finance #college-major #entrepreneur #train #rail #money-management #high-school #language #money-management #chinese #german #language #high-school #college #career
