I'm trying to decide what language I want to take for high school. As I've talked about before, I've been thinking about taking a train apprenticeship. The rail company is based in Switzerland, and a lot of their instructions are in German. So if I take German, it would help me get my foot in the door, and it might get me higher pay. But, I do plan on joining the military, and (Mandarin) Chinese is a mission-critical language, and more valuable. But both languages might get me an extra $300 or so more in pay a month. #military #college #business #finance #college-major #entrepreneur #train #rail #money-management #high-school #language #money-management #chinese #german #language #high-school #college #career
Best Military College Option?
I want to become an officer in the military. I don't want to enlist. ROTC only pays the last two years of my college. That being said, what's my best option? 1.) Attend college then go to OCS: (Would attend college with my friends out of state, but the college is more expensive) 2.) Attend ROTC in college: (Attend in-state=super cheap, plus I might get a band scholarship) 3.) Military Academy: (Completely free, but hard to get into) 4.) The Citadel- Corps of Cadets (ROTC): (They're interested in me, but they're expensive) #college #military #finance #money-management #money-management #navy #high-school #college #engineering #air-force #military #engineer #marines #any #career #navy #fighter-pilot #marine #armed-forces #aviation #army #technology #physics #pilot #math #tech #biology #science #hashtag #airline #raptor #airline-industry #aerospace-engineering #mechanical #aeronautics #computer-science #chemistry #robotics #college-major #schedule #mechanical-engineering #band #biomedical-engineering #career-pathway #information-technology #pathway #medicine #english #ap #writing #acting #education #community-management #first-responder #author #civil-air-patrol #college-admissions #rotc #jrotc #state #university
Are ACT Prep Classes really that helpful?
I need an ACT score of at least 30 to get into a military academy. From my PSAT score, I'll probably get a 28. Will an ACT Prep class actually raise my score by two points or more? Debate vs AP Literature and Composition
In my school instead of a Language Arts Class, you can take Debate. Would it be better to be on Debate and the Debate team, or should I stick with a hard class like APLAC? I also have the option of taking college English or Business Communications. What's the option for college applications? Police Explorer Program or Civil Air Patrol?
I'm trying to decide on which after school program I should. I don't want to take both since I already have a job, and I plan on taking a lot of AP classes, and joining athletics teams. After high school, first, I'm going to get a mechanical engineering degree, with an emphasis on either Aerospace or Robotics. Then I'll either join the Air Force as a developmental engineer and make a career out of that, or join the Marines as a combat engineer, and then join SWAT. I have a choice of either joining a Police Explorer's Program that will give me the skills and knowledge to start a path towards becoming SWAT, or I can do Civil Air Patrol which will give me flight hours and teach me about the Air Force, plus Aerospace. What's going to look better on resumes and applications, and overall, what's your opinion on what's going to be better. Also, I'm already planning on joining JROTC for school. Should I do an apprenticeship?
Recently there's been an apprentice program for a train company. The way their program works is that I would do it every other day. Basically, I go to school one day, and the apprenticeship another day. I don't know if I should do it because then I would have to quit all of my electives (Band, NJROTC, etc). My school only has four periods in a day, so I would only be able to take core classes. I want to be an engineer, preferably in Robotics or Aerospace. The program could be beneficial, but it's not a career that I would want to stay in, but I would gain experience, in assembly, manufacturing, and electronics. Plus it pays $17/hour. What's my best option? Is it better to take high school classes that are fun, or beneficial to college and career?
I want to become an engineer (Robotics or Aerospace Engineering). Currently, I'm left with a choice of taking classes like Mandarin Chinese (which would look good on resumes, and college applications), or classes like Engineering Principles, Electronics, and Robotics. I don't really want to take a language, but it could be beneficial. I plan on serving in the military (preferably Marines as a combat engineer officer), and translators get paid more (like $300 more or something a month). Or I can take classes like CTE and STEM classes, and complete a career pathway in engineering that is apparently recognized as a credential of value. I'm just curious as to what would look better on college applications, and job resumes (Bilingual or credentials)? Also, if I were to complete the career pathway, I would have to quit band. My teacher says that he could probably get me a scholarship for band though. Is it still worth it to complete a pathway? Finally, if I were to keep band, I wouldn't be able to complete the pathway, but I would still be able to take Engineering and Robotics. What' s my best option? Thanks! #engineering #engineer #college #college #mechanical-engineering #aerospace-engineering #biomedical-engineering #career #robotics #band #high-school #schedule #career-pathway #pathway #engineering #college #engineer #high-school #airline-industry #any #fighter-pilot #navy #armed-forces #aviation #army #raptor #biology #science #career #pilot #tech #technology #marine #air-force #marines #airline #hashtag #military #math #college-major #aeronautics #computer-science #physics #mechanical #chemistry #aerospace-engineering #robotics #any #information-technology #technology #medicine

Can I go talk to a army recruiter at 14 years old.
I have a ton of questions to ask about the army to a recruiter. I want to talk to someone about it before high school before I really make it my goal. I want to have a plan before going into a journey that half way through the starting process decide it’s not for me. I really want to talk to a recruiter but is 8th grade and 14 years old to young? Will they give me a chance? #military #future #onestepahead #army #recruiter #armyrecruiter
I want to join the army. I am 14 years of age. What can I do to prepare? And what do I say to my mom?
My mom has supported me but at the same time is worried. She expected my dream of going into the army would fade off and I would find another career I liked. I also have another problem. I want to go to college but I am not sure if I should go to the army first. If I take ROTC I will have to be an officer. I also want to prepare for boot camp but I don’t know what my parents will say. I feel like they look at me crazily when I mention the army. This is my dream and destiny I want to follow, but should I start planning and researching now? Or focus on other careers instead of the army? I have so many questions that I can’t find all the answers on the internet. I would love to talk to a recruiter but I think I am to young. Why would recruiters what to waist their time on a 14 year old girl still in middle school? What should I do!?!!?!?!? #army #school #military #professional #college

What can I do to become a fighter pilot?

Adding to my previous questions...
Adding to my previous questions, I'm planning on doing 20 years in the Navy as a Seabee. My school has a career center that we can go to if we have enough credits and are a Junior or a Senior in high school. The career center has building construction and trades and heavy equipment operation. Would these be a good choice to go to before I become a Seabee? #career #navy #military
What are the potential downsides of joining the Military
I am in Sea Cadets (USNSCC) and I absolutely love it. I am playing on joining the Military (specifically to be a Navy Corpsman), but I would like to know what physiological and physical "downsides"/strains of such a job. I've heard mixed opinions, but I would like to read more into it. #military #navy #future
I have heard that medical school is the toughest four years of a future physician. What tips can be given to someone who is aspiring to go in that field? How should time be managed which doing the internship at the hospitals and studying for your classes?
I want to become a cardiothoracic surgeon however I am unsure what path to take. Should I just simply go to college and apply for as many scholarships as possible to pay it off or should I join the Airforce or Navy? #surgeon #doctor #military #medicine
