where and when do i start? multi-media artist with no direct plan

I'm Jada, hello. Maybe this will make a lot of sense or it will sound terribly cliche. I know where I want to go as an artist, but the reality is that I don't know where to start. My strongest inspiration is my favorite singer-songwriter, Lady Gaga. With certainty, if Gaga weren't one of the best models of how I'd like to act and work via art in a variety of disciplines, I wouldn't pursue my aspirations. But, as an 11th grader in high school, my alternatives are currently rather constrained. I want to be a strong competent worker, however, it seems I can't discover the ability to learn anything new. Even in class, I'm having trouble. I just need some instruction along the road. Although self-teaching has not been effective, I do strive to keep trying for everything. Even though I haven't learned how to make a Resume, it appears that I can here, which is encouraging. Any advice on how to study or learn better depending on my style of learning would be greatly appreciated. Moreover, it would be really helpful if anyone knew of any free resources I could use to either become a professional or develop the necessary skills. Thank you

I am interested in things like Film Production and Graphic Arts. Would Digital Communications and Multimedia be a good major for me?

I have done some research about digital communications and multimedia but don't know enough about it to be convinced. From what I know, it relates to most of my interests in art and computers. #college-major #multimedia #college

When feeling discouraged, how do you find a way to motivate and inspire yourself?

I am a high school junior and a college sophomore. I have spent many hours looking at how I can transfer my college credits to other colleges and find scholarships to help pay for college. After looking at many scholarships, emailing schools, trying to find references, I feel I might not complete as many goals as I want to. In addition, I'm looking for ways to help build a strong portfolio to submit it with college applications. I'm finding it difficult to motivate and inspire myself to complete my goals. #art #graphic-design #college #college-advice #multimedia #artist-portfolio #scholarships

What majors/careers include both mathematics and visual arts?

I love math, it's my favorite subject in school and I definitely would like to continue with it in the future. However, I don't want to lose the visual design aspect which I also love. I was considering a double major in mathematics and digital communications/multi media (it basically involves things like web design, video production, and stuff like that). Although I couldn't find a digital communications major at the colleges that I'm looking at. I was wondering if anyone knew of similar majors? Also any careers that would use those majors? I have also considered becoming a math teacher because I could still make worksheets, videos, and websites for my classroom but I would like to know what other options I have. Thank you so much! P.S. I was also considering a minor in computer science to tie the two majors together. Please let me know what you think! #computer-science #marketing #mathematics #graphic-design #web-design #video-production #social-media-marketing #multimedia

Which is better, large market studios or small market freelance work?

As a soon to be graduate is it better to jump straight into large market areas or begin smaller as a freelance designer. I am curious as to whether it would be more beneficial to start out small, in a local area close to home right out of college, to grow as a designer or if it is reasonable to go to the bigger market areas to bigger firms. If I jump straight into the bigger firm area how hard is it to get a job, and what would I need to do to make myself look better to larger design firms being from a small town? #design #graphics #web-design #digital-media #freelance #multimedia #visual-design #visual-studio

What is the purpose in going to an Art college in order to become a Multimedia Artist and Animator?

I'm a sophomore who would like to know if anyone can still be a multimedia artist and animator even without going to an art college to get a degree. Would that person have a chance to be one? Sorry if I confuse anyone with the question. #art #animation #multimedia
