How can I get started with making music?
I'm a freshman in HS & I want to pursue music production as a possible career in college, does anyone know how I can get an early start on that? I love music, specifically rap (hip-hop & R&B too), and I was wondering if anyone knew any good websites that I could get started on with making beats. I'm a fast learner, but since it would be my first time experimenting, beginner-friendly websites would be preferred :) Also if anyone has tips/knows any good YouTube channels that discuss this topic, that would be greatly appreciated!
What should my major be Lawyer, pharmacist, producer.?
I pretty much have 3 options I've narrowed it down to. Lawyer, pharmacist, music producer. Lawyer because I like to argue & I'm pretty good with backing up my reasons + they make a good amount of money, but it is possible it won't work out because I can't find a good law firm to work for. Pharmacists because they make a good amount of money no matter where you work. Music producer because I love music and making music (specifically beats for rap & I love rap/hip-hop in general) & I'd love to learn more about music theory, but I'm a female and if you aren't successful, I might lose a lot of money. In the end is it up to me and my desires or should I focus on the success rate & money?
Does it really matter where you go to college?
I plan to major in piano and voice performance with a minor in psychology, and then start private music lessons. Does it matter where I go to college, or should I try to get into one that is more prestigious in the realm of music performance? I kind of want to go to a Christian college that is closer to home, but obviously they aren't really known for music performance so I'm just wondering what I should do.
I want to get a bfa - how hard is it to get into a program?
I’m 14 and want to pursue acting as a career, particularly Shakespeare. My plan right now is to do 5-7 plays a year during high school, do the ESU Shakes comp, create Shakes clubs where I can start getting directing experience, continue with my outside of school acting coach, singing as well, and I’ll probably start doing musical theater dance. I’m not trying to brag or anything, just want to give whoever answers this question a better understanding, but I’ve been told I’m very talented by most people who see me perform. How hard would it be to get into a bfa program if I audition for like 15 of them? I know I shouldn’t be worrying about it right now but I panic about this daily 😅
Is University of New Haven good for Music?
Hello, I got into the University of New Haven for a music and sound recording BA. I haven't been able to find anything much about it from a student or an alumni. I want to become a producer and want to get into the field of sound tech. I couldn't find much online about it so I am here asking y'all. I also applied to the University of Illinois Chicago, as it's super close to where I live.
If one has a record , is there any hope for employment and if so , what are the measures to be taken ?

I want to be a music therapist AND an art therapist AND teach piano and voice in private lessons. How should I go about this for college? At first I was thinking double major in piano and voice for bachelor's and then double major in art and music therapy for master's, however, I realized that music performance is probably not a prerequisite option for art therapy. Perhaps a minor in psychology along with bachelor's plans? Please help.?

What can I do in highschool to prepare for a career in business/music management?
I’m a current freshman in hs who has interest in both owning my own business as well as helping music artists as they are my idols (haha), and I’ve found that I just have too much free time on weekends like I watched mvs until 1:00 today ;-; and I want to channel that energy into building a career, but I don’t plan to even live in the same country when I graduate, so it seems kind of pointless to try and start anything now if any connections I make here are gonna be useless, so I was hoping for advice on the things that I can work on now in order to be able to create my ideal career without risk in the future. Ideally it would be stuff that takes a lot of work lol Or does anyone have a way that I would be able to build a career in these areas in a way that would allow me to continue even though college/moving out of country? For context, I have no money or job experience, no free time during weekdays except past my curfew, and live in an area with no industry so idk where I would even start, but I’m too impatient to wait until I get a degree or move out or any of that…. Thanks :)
