How should I improve acting/vocals for school musicals/plays?

I'm a middle/high school student who's interested in participating in plays and musicals for my school. I've only been in two in the past and have gotten side/background characters and a narrator. I don't have much experience in acting and I am a self-taught singer. What are some good ways to improve my acting/vocals and to possibly have a better chance in getting a lead role?

How can I get noticed by a talent agency for musical theatre?

A ton of my friends are represented by Nani-Saperstein Talent Management and I just want to know the best way to go about getting any talent management attention. Should I be the pain until the squeaky wheel gets the oil or wait for recognition in a professional manner? #acting #musical-theatre #broadway #live-theatre #musicals #casting #talent-management

What exactly is a creative director?

My idea of a creative director is someone who has the ability to produce many things from shows to concerts, and designs/creates all of the spectacle that's included within it. For example, maybe the stage set up for a concert and how the colors work into the ambience of the show, or even putting together different pieces of something that characterizes the idea of what the piece of art would be . Is this something a creative director does? If not, what do they do? #creative-arts #musicals #broadway-musicals

What should I do after I graduate college?

I have big dreams of becoming a professional dancer who books, tours, music videos, award shows, musicals, and any other kind of shows you can think of. I'm going to study interdisciplinary arts with specialization in arts leadership in Seattle University where I can learn about both the creative and business side of the dance industry, however I would really like to be a part of the industry as soon as possible so i'm thinking about attending auditions after I graduate. I don't know if this is smart planning for my future though because I know that in our world today, it is important to continue your education from there. However, i'm also afraid that once I'm done with school that I would be too old for the dance industry or not what people are looking for in a dancer anymore. Any advice or suggestions will be greatly appreciated. #dance #dance-education #hip-hop-dance #creative-arts #musicals

How does the auditioning process go?

I'm curious as to how a person gets chosen for a role in a play/musical. I know the audition process,(go in, sing/perform/recite, answer some questions, then leave.) but how do casting directors choose which person they want as the character? Does every auditionee have to go through call backs? How do they contact you? #music #acting #theatre #theater #musical-theatre #musicals
