For a neonatologist, are there constant needs for research and education in the NICU?
I'm an incoming sophomore at the University of the Incarnate Word. I've developed the love for working in the NICU in high school when I was a volunteer at the local hospital and now I essentially want to make a career out of it. I was able to shadow some doctors during my time there and only few enlightened me on the research projects they were working on. Instead, they all mentioned seminars and conferences they attend throughout that year. I'm a junior in high school and I want to be a neonatal nurse I'm really interested in babies and want to achieve my goals of what I'm trying to be in life. First I thought of being a Ob/Gyn but I decided that I want to be a neonatal nurse. I was wondering how many days do you get off like do you get a few days off since you work long hours ?
