Why did you decide to be a neurologist? What inspired you?

Hi! My name is Andrea and I am doing research on neurology for my Health class. I would appreciate it if you answered these questions the best you could. Thank you! 1)How many years of college did you need to go through? What other programs, courses, and clubs did you join or do? 2)What jobs did you work before you became a neurologist? What did you think of them? 3)How can I decide if I want to get a PH.D. in this field? 4)Did you have to pivot and go back to school at a later time? 5)Did you need to shadow another professional in the field before becoming a neurologist? 6)Was there a subject you struggled with during your school years? 7)What skill sets did you learn or gain while being in this profession? 8) Why did you choose a career in medicine? Why did you choose this specialty? 9)Do you regret going through the years of schooling? 10) What skills would you recommend someone to have before trying to get into this field? 11) What keeps you motivated?

I want to switch my major from computer science. I want to pursue a career in neuroscience , mostly leaning towards neuropsychology, but my school only offers bio or psych as majors and then I would have to cross register and apply for a neuro program. I don't know what I should do at all and I am lost. Help?

This is my freshman year currently so I have time.

How do scientific researchers come up with their ideas?

I'm an 11th grader in some biotechnology classes, and it's got me very interested in pursuing a career in medical research. However, I don't really understand how researchers come up with their ideas. Is there a list out there to choose from, or do people come up with them themselves? Because I've been trying and never came up with anything.

is there any careers that combine cognitive/brain science, computer science, psychology, and neuroscience or something around this because I am a freshman computer science major but want to get my Phd in cogsci but unsure on what I could do with it

I am interested in all of these paths and would like to have a career relating or combining them that is not your typical UX designer or software engineer.

How do I go about fulfilling my dream to start an organisation which helps people discover the full potential of their minds using neuroscience? #Fall22

I am very passionate about positive thinking and I believe that you can change your life by changing the way you think. I have always found the biology of psychology very interesting. I also have an entrepreneurial mind and I know I want to start an organisation that will empower and send people with equipped minds, knowing the power that their minds hold and also strategies to continue bettering and utilizing their minds.

I want to be a neuroscientist. In September, I'll be attending university for BScH in Neuroscience. Should I double major in Neuroscience and Computer Science? This will take 5 years instead of the usual four.

I am going to Canada (from India) to study neuroscience. I'm just wondering if computer would be helpful in neuroscience. Remember that I really love Computer, know C and Java, but I would have so many things going on provided research, extracurricular activities, volunteering, and so on.

Does anyone know of any internship/program opportunities in STEM?

I'm currently on the hunt for some easier to get into internship/program opportunities in computer science, artificial intelligence, aerospace engineering, and neuroscience. So far, I have found opportunities, but with low acceptance rates, and I need some back up options to fall back on. The problem with this is that it's really difficult to find programs like these that are easy to get into. Can anyone help? #internship #engineering #technology #computer-science #neuroscience #aerospace # #science #engineer
