Is there anything of importance that you think I should know before going into the field? Any advice?

I'm a high school student interested in being an obstetrician! I love being able to make people's lives brighten and to me that brightness for any expecting mother is being able to have their baby and hold him/her for the first time. I have a few distant family members in the field and hearing about what they do interested me! #obstetrician #doctor #obgyn #midwiving #midwive #nurse #nursing #medicine #healthcare

OB/GYN, certified nurse midwife, or PA

I want to work with labor and delivery. I want to be there for my patients, championing them, while also helping them. I like the idea of being an ob-gyn because I'd love to perform surgical procedures, be part of high risk pregnancies, help women from conception through postpartum, and so forth. I like the idea of a PA for similar reasons. I like the idea of being a CNM because I'd get to be with patients more, while still getting to take part in labor and delivery. I do want to have a family one day and I also have a dog, so I know it can be hard to manage any of those careers with those things. I also do like traveling. I want to help people and I want to be the medical professional that make people smile and feel like everything is going to be okay. What should I do? #medicine #laboranddelivery #doctor #nurse #PA #career #certifiednursemidwife #nursemidwife #obgyn

How many years of medical school do I need to become an OB/GYN ?

My name is Dalilah and I am a senior at Lighthouse Community Charter School. I am a student with a 3.5 GPA and above. Some skills that have helped me get where I am today is being organized, time oriented and great communication skills. I am organized by completing my work on time and having an online calendar that reminds me about certain due dates for homework. I have great communication skills because I communicate with my teachers about work that we are doing in class when I don't understand the concept. In addition, having great communication skills can help me when aiding Pregnant women. Also, I am curious about the medical field and would like to learn more about it. What major should I consider to become an OB/GYN ?

What is the medical field like?

I'm a sophomore in high school and I'm interested in working in the medical field, mainly pararescue in the military or working in a hospital or OB/GYN. I am leaning more towards being a pararescue but I'm not 100% sure what I want to do for a job yet. If anyone has any advice in any of those fields I'll be glad to listen.
