How do you exactly become a Pediatric Nurse?

I was looking up this career online, and I'm really confused. Do you have to become a Registered Nurse first and then go into more schooling to become a Pediatrician or do I just major in Pediatrics and continue from there? Easy Explanation: 1st course: Major in Nursing -> Become an RN! -> School in Pediatrics -> Level up to Pediatric Nurse! 2nd Course: Major in Pediatric Nursing -> Become a Pediatric Nurse! Thank you! #pediatric-nursing #pediatrics #pediatric-nurse #career #registered-nurses #nursing

Hello, I'm a 10th grader in high school right now. My school offers a concurrent enrollment program where I can easily obtain my AA degree. Right now, I am taking 1 college course (US HISTORY) and AP Biology. Next year for my junior year, I'll be able to do more college courses. Hi, I'm in 10th grade and am already looking into how to be a successful nurse and what colleges I can go to. Does one absolutely need to be good under pressure and stress to be a pediatric nurse? If so, is it possible to improve how you handle pressure?

I am absolutely in love with working with children, as I have a part time job after school at an elementary school. I know that this is what I should do with my life. But, I have always been set on nursing and I am also totally in love with that. Pediatric nursing seems like the absolute perfect job for me and I feel so much excitement for this career. But, I am not very good under stressful situations and I can't handle gross things all that well. Should I consider another career path? Or is it possible for me to improve both of these obstacles?

How do I decide what nursing specialty would be best for me?

I really like working with kids so I think I'd like pediatric nursing, but from what I've looked at I think being a nurse anesthetist would offer better pay. I'm more interested in pediatric nursing, but I have various ambitions that I think I would need to be very financially stable to accomplish. How should I decide which one to focus on in the long run, and would being a pediatric nurse ever be an equally stable career, or not?
