What are the benefits of getting a PhyD verses a Ph.D?

Questions for current/and majoring psychologist — why did you feel like the field of psychology was the best option for you ?

Starting with the first question ^ 2.) how long did it take/will it take to obtain your degree 3.) what kind of patients have you dealt with & what’s some essential advice you may give to patients despite them being different from one another 4.) what’s the best approach when starting therapy? 5.) How long do you think therapy should last? Do you think it’ should be a lifetime thing… 6.) what kind of conditions have you worked with? And how did you figure out those conditions were something that you could treat… 7.) which do you feel is more important, change or stability? Or do you feel like they kind of go neck & neck? Should I seek an MD or Phd?

To focus on treating patients with abnormal phycological disorders (schizophrenia, DID, etc.), should I seek a PhD in Psychology or apply for medical school with a BS in Psychology?
