Is it advisable to include an "Interests" section on my resume as an experienced professional with a master's degree. Would this addition be perceived as unprofessional, considering it delves into aspects beyond my technical skills and qualifications??

Please guide me here. I just want to explore different approaches.

Can you put community service on your resume or even college application?

I have about 50+ hours of community service and I was wondering if I can use it for resumes and even college applications. Does it count as extracurricular activities or does it entirely depend on the project that I was working on. I was reading question about this and I remembered that I sent a resume out for an internship but I didn´t put my hours as work experience...

Do resumes need to be one page?

Hi, I'm attempting to become an "officer" in a club at my college and they want to see a resume. My boyfriend is a part of this club and he told me that my resume needs to be one page, that jobs only want to see one page anyways. Is this true? The job application my father helped me make it 2. #resume #resume-writing #evaluating-resumes #resumes #job-application

What should you include in your resume if you're a student with little experience/ skills?

Looking to develop a resume that is effective and stands out, but I'm a high school student without much experience or skills. Are there any things you can include that someone reviewing your resume would find useful to know? Does the fact that I volunteer as a teacher assistant or that I'm oldest to 5 children make any difference? Would really appreciate guidance! #resume #resume-writing #resumes #evaluating-resumes #experience #interviewing-skills #interview #interviews #interviewing #interview-preparation #writing

Is there a cut-off for relevant information on resumes on Linked In, or should you include everything?

**For everyone who doesn’t have a LinkedIn and is reading this, I’d advise you to make one right now! It helps a lot, and even just making one and adding new things to it helps so much! LinkedIn is getting increasingly more popular with both employers and job-seekers. My university highly suggests making a LinkedIn, and offers tons of workshops and presentations to urge students to get… linked in (pun most definitely intended). On Linked In, there are options for including accomplishments, projects, volunteer experience, and more. Is it better to include everything you’ve done on Linked In, or just the more important or more interesting parts? I understand it's better for your profile to reflect a balanced profile, but this gets fuzzy at times. For example, I’m currently a freshman in college. Do you think I should still include volunteering experience from when I was in 9th grade? What kind of a filter should you use for discerning what to put on Linked In or any CV/resume? What if you don't have many things to write about--should you just only include necessary information or add small things to your profile as well? #career #resume #writing #resume-writing #linkedin #professional-development #professional-training #job-application
