What other branches of studies should Information Security students look into?

I've interned with Citibank for the past few years and I had an opportunity to work with the cyber security team. With the majors I have been advised to pursue they all lead to computer science. As a college freshmen I don't have to make the final decision but I was wondering if anyone in the IT field has any experience? #technology #women-in-tech #women-in-stem #citi #robotics #choosing-a-major

How many people do you need on a team to construct and program a robot drone?

I am asking this question because one of my career interests is in Robotics and I want to get an idea of how many people I would be working with to construct a functioning robot drone. I have always wanted to construct one and I just want to see how many people would be with me to make it a reality and to program it to do something worthwhile. #computer-programming #robotics

What kind of jobs go with Robotics?

I'm in my sophomore year of high school, and I want to major in Robotics. I have a college I want to go to, George Tech. I'm wondering what does a M.D. in Robotics do in life, and what jobs can I get with a M.D. in Robotics. I have 2 years to plan, so if Robotics doesn't work out for me I have time to change my Major. #robotics #college-major #mathematics #college-advice

Mechanical Engineering and Robotics

I'm interested in robotics and currently studying mechanical engineering. From what I see, the new developments in robotics seem to be mainly in control. Electrical and computer science engineers seem to be using AI and improved sensors to make robot movement more precise and intelligent. What part does a mechanical engineer have in the robotics field, as it seems much of robotics is developing new algorithms for already existing mechanical robots. Do mechanical engineers in robotics only maintain the robots, or is demand for new robot designs still strong enough to warrant novel mechanical work? How much crossover is there between the mechanical and control sides of robotics? I enjoy scripting, but not low-level optimization work required for robotics processors. How much programming and electrical engineering does a roboticist/mechatronics mechanical engineer do? #Robotics #Mechanical Engineering #Mechatronics

How do I continue my career path?

I'm wondering on how to continue my career path because I've already started planning out what I wanted to do when I got older. I already know what major I want to study (Computer Engineering) and what interests me such as robotics, coding, and apps. But what I don't know is where that will lead me, as in what to do when I'm done with the steps I already planned out. Should I take small engine repair?

My school has a semester elective called small engine repair. I learn to tune up and fix small engines like ATVs, motorcycles, lawn mowers, etc. Once the class is over, I would be able to fix small engines around my neighborhood, where I can get really good money. But then I will have to take a class in the summer to catch up on credits. Is it worth it? I do think it would be a fun and easy class. I can also take intro to automotive where I learn about engines in cars. What's my best choice? Will the class help me in college/career of mechanical/robotics/aerospace engineering? Thanks! #entrepreneur #healthcare #business #business-management #event-planning #small-business #cars #automotive #engine #international-business #college #college-major #physics #automotive #engine #mechanical #mechanics #money #any #elective #high-school #engineering #robotics #engineer #aerospace
