How would you get Merit Scholarships from colleges if you don't submit an SAT score?

I have an average SAT score but have an unweighted GPA of 4.0, have taken a mix of honors and college classes, and are part of a large array of extracurriculars. If I decide not to submit my SAT score, will colleges that are test-optional still accept me and give me a generous amount of scholarship money?

Are SAT and ACT very important in university?

I took the PSAT ( Pre-sat) this year, and my math score was better than my English, And some people including our school counselor is saying SAT is not very very important in the application, but some of my teachers and my family are saying it's very important, and you have to get a good score on it. I am stuck between this.

What are benefits or the pros and cons of taking one of the ACT or the SAT tests over the other?

Curious which one may hold more benefits and if I was only able to take one which would be recommended. I currently plan on taking both. #testing #sat #act

What did you do to get a high SAT score?

Not really a career question, but I'm wondering how long you studied and HOW you actually studied to get a 1450+ score. #college #sat #college-admissions

What are the defining factors colleges look for when applying to college?

When looking at colleges, they show the GPA and SAT scores that are required and that’s all. Some will say they look for how involved you are in school and your community. I just want a clear statement of what most colleges want to see from me. #applying #requirements-management #college #college-admissions #gpa #sat

How do I build up my my application as a junior in high school?

I’m a rising junior and really want to get into Columbia or Harvard for their medical programs and so I’m trying to pave the way for that acceptance. I’ll be taking my first Ap classes this junior year and they do relate to my field of interest. The only thing is how can I be recognized with my minority background and academics (not the best but still good)? #college #medicine #SAT #college-admissions

How can I make sure that my schedule is doable?

Next year, (as a junior), I'm planning on taking AP Biology, AP literature, AP US History, Pre-Calculus, and studying for the SAT. I know that this is a very hard set of classes, but I also know that it's important for me to take at least three classes next year and I have to make sure that at least one is a science class because I would like to go into medicine in the future. How do I know if this is WAY too hard for me to accomplish, and how to rearrange my schedule to meet my requirements, and get good grades on everything. #AP #high-school-classes #APBiology #SAT
