create an online business for a specific community?

The LGBT community is way behind in my opinion. We cant relate to the rest of the world, because our art/ideas are ignored more. i want to create a website where lgbt art movies books clothing tv pilots etc can be sold and shared amongst one another. An lgbt version of etsy i guess you could say. The goal is to get the site seen on tv, as well as local lgbt celebrities promote it. Which would also push the community into a more positive light. Any ideas on this would be great. Thanks in advance! #business #marketing #economics #social-media #online-advertising

Does "experience" always mean "professional experience"?

I see a lot of job/internship listings that require the applicant to have experiences in fields that suggest he may not necessarily need professional experience (a past position). For example, some social media internships require the candidate to have "social media experience: 1+ years". Would this be strictly professional experience, or should I apply if I've been fairly active on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, etc..., for over a year? Should I email in to get a clarification, or should I apply anyway and know the answer if I don't hear back? #social-media #job-applications #qualifying-prospects

Is it appropriate to network online?

I want to work in the field of journalism and the coolest thing about this industry is that it's already accessible to me. It's so easy to find writers that I admire and follow them on social media. Often I have questions about the websites they write for or I'm just interested in things they write about. I know that making connections is key in this field, so my question would be is it okay to take advantage of how close I am to writers because of technology? Is networking or asking questions online a smart move or is it just annoying? #journalism #writing #networking #social-media #media

While in college, is it possible to balance a social life, extra-curricular activities (such as student government), a part-time job AND maintain a 4.0 GPA? Or is a 4.0 even a realistic goal?

In high school, I am pretty involved my various activities (NHS, sports, job, youth group, music, etc.), but still manage to keep a 4.0 GPA. A few of my friends who are currently in college, who had a 4.0 in high school, talk about how difficult to keep even a 3.8, much less 4.0. #college #college-jobs #social-media #extracurriculars #gpa
