I am used to having teachers readily available in high school, and I find classes with 30+ students to be frustrating. However, I hate how I know everyone in high school and I hate how everyone feels "stuck" with each other (there are a little under 1,000 students total in my school). I am a junior in high school and am struggling to come up with a career path and major for college. I love interacting with, helping, and learning about people, traveling, reading/ writing, and singing. I also have a lot of interest in studying Spanish and some interest in areas like criminal justice, psychology, sociology, and public relations. Are careers in the arts unattainable?
I am a sophmore in highschool beginning to prepare for my future. I am really creative and want to expirience new things everyday. I am very invested in the arts and would like to stay involved in them in some way. Here I am involved in theatre, dance, choir, Student council, and NHS. I am a good leader and really enjoy social interaction.
How do you find friends who will be a good influence on you in high school?
I know a lot of people at my school and I'm unsure of how to weed out the ones who won't be great influences on me down the road. And once I figure out which ones I want to keep as friends, how do I respectfully distance myself from the ones I don't want to be friends with? Or should I try to be friends with everyone? My strategy right now is if they don't have some kind of rational plan for the future and what they want to do in life, then I probably shouldn't be friends with someone. What I define as a "plan" is an idea of what they want to do when they graduate, or at least a college they would like to go to, and good grades at the bare minimum.

I'm just asking this because I don't know how to outside of obvious reasons. I tried joining a Fraternity but it got too serious too fast. I also have Epilepsy which forbids me from alcohol and other substances. I’m currently in highschool, 9th grade, and I’m very interested in Psychology specifically social psychology. I’m not sure if I’d like to pursue a job in the psychology field but I’m very sure I want to at least study it. I wanted help figuring out what jobs someone with a Social psychology degree could get(not including a social worker because that’s not something I’m interested in) I was also interested in knowing what someone working in that fields favourite part of it was and what benefits they have gotten out of it.
