What degree do I need to become I physical therapist, and hopefully to own my own practice?

I would like to work with sports teams or at another person’s practice, and then open up my own practice once I get the funds and experience necessary to do so! Also how can I build connections that will help me achieve my goals with this? What majors/minors should I look at/choose? And, do you all have any other helpful tips?

Which undergrad major would be best suited for a doctorate in physical therapy?

As I've been looking into more colleges for admissions, I've noticed that not all of them have either kinesiology or exercise science. After looking more into it, I can't decide whether exercise sciences or kinesiology would be better suited for my major to help get my doctorate.

What careers could I be headed towards?

Hey! My name is Abbey and I’m a first-year student at the University of St.Thomas in St.Paul Minnesota. Throughout my whole life, I've had an interest in sports, health, and the human body. Because of this, I decided to major in Exercise Science and double minor in Nutrition and Business Administration. I was looking at becoming an athletic trainer but decided against it a few months ago. I am really just looking for someone who has some knowledge in these areas, and could tell me a little bit of what I could go into when I'm older that includes my major and minors! And any other insights that I could find helpful in the future!

What are some careers in Sports Medicine?

Although I am still interested in engineering, I have also become interested in Sports Medicine. However, I don't know what I would decide to do if I decided to pursue that dream. I would rather not be a physical therapist, but more of a trainer. If anyone could provide some examples of careers that would be helpful. Thank you! #physical-therapy #physical-therapist #sports-medicine #trainer #student-trainer #JULY20

Nursing is a very expansive and crucial field of study. I'm sure there are both peaks and valleys to any nurses' career. What is the most difficult part of being a nurse?

I am currently a senior with a great interest in pursuing nursing. My favorite classes are biology, psychology, and anything math related. I can't wait to one day be able to care for the sick, injured, and dying, or provide support for their families and communities. With a strong background in medicine, benefiting the health industry and making life more enjoyable for those impacted by health conditions will definitely be in my future.
