What are some job prospects for a Neuroscience major?
I'm entering college in the fall and planning to major in Neuroscience on a pre-med track. Just in case I don't pursue going to medical school, I was wondering if there are any job prospects for this major, like a back-up plan? In all honesty, I'm fearful that I might pursue the wrong major and end up with no job prospects after college UNLESS I go to medical school (which I'm not yet entirely sure if I really want to commit to another 10+ years of schooling). Any advice is appreciated, thank you! #medicine #college #major #premed #medicalschool #healthcare #neuroscience #college-major #medical #technology #stem

What Type of Personality, Work Ethic and Interests would Suit a Biomedical Engineer?
Once again I've been rethinking my options. I was very set on choosing software engineering, as it's a lucrative profession that does stimulate my interest in many ways. Biomedical Engineering, however, has also created a curiosity that I can't think but ignore. As someone who loves programming and math, but also wants to leave a legacy through helping others, I've been thinking if a degree geared towards biomedical engineering would be the better choice. Any input by professionals in the software or Biomedical engineering profession would be appreciated. #biomedical-engineering #software-engineering P.S: I've done a little bit of researching and it seems like a mix of electrical, computer and mechanical engineering with applications concerning biology. Right now it seems more reasonable for me to commit to the software since most of my Extracurriculars are built around that profession, and I do love programming. Even though I've made up my mind for now, please feel free to answer this question for others stuck in this position. Who knows, it might change my outlook! #technology #stem #biomedical-engineering #STEM

Is there any way to earn an internship as a high school student with lack luster extracurriculars? If not, what extracurriculars would help me get there?
I'm currently in grade 10, and actually in no rush to obtain one yet. But this is my goal soon. I want to intern at either a STEM or technical facility that would help me gain hands-on experience while boosting my application for university, but I am unsure how I will achieve this. One downside is that I'm from Ottawa so the opportunities here are limited. Do you think I'd be able to get one by the end of gr11 ?I'm in 10th grade right now. Any advice would be appreciated. #internship #college #computer-science #STEM
