Will I have to take out student loans?
I am really stressing about the thought of taking out student loans. I will not be living in campus dorms (I have to live at home to take care of my mom) , so I won't have to worry about dorm fees. I am a fairly smart person, I'm first in my class and I am planning on being valedictorian, but I am still scared that I am not going to receive enough scholarships. I am pretty sure I will be going to Oklahoma State University. Tuition is about 5k and fees are about 3k. I will be working during college to help out, but I still can't stop stressing about the thought of being in debt for a long time. Thank you! #student #students #college #loans #studentloans #collegehelp #advice

How did you all overcome the toughest parts in your life while also keeping your motivation?
As humans, we often go through periods where we feel unmotivated, depressed, anxious, and sad. Those feelings often come through and affect our day-to-day activities. Especially in college or in the workplace. It often affects our performance, and doesn't truly reflect our best efforts. How do you all overcome these feelings and accomplish your goals? I normally read motivational quotes or take some time to reflect on my feelings. Sometimes it helps, other times, I need family or friend support. #college #life-experience #students

How do I manage time effectively?
I am a junior in high school and one skill that i need to grasp is time management. I am a person who is always hyperactive but I also get distracted a lot and I want to know what it takes to manage my time more effectively. I ask this because I still need to learn how to finish my schoolwork on time but also still want to participate in many activities. I want to learn time management skills so that I can take more time out of my day to do other activities. I believe that time management skills will also help me in the long run so I believe that making a habit of these skills will be better if I start early! #management #higher-education #students #time-management #extracurriculars #personal-development

I'm thinking of applying for an internship, but some of the requirements are confusing me. Help!
The Cleveland Clinic is offering an internship in my area. The application requires a couple documents that I am unfamiliar with, so I'm having trouble getting them together. The documents are: -A Cover Letter -A Resumé (or Résumé?) I'm homeschooled so these are entirely new to me! Can someone give me an idea of what they are/what should be included on them? Or a template or an outline or something? I would be most appreciative! #medicine #internships #college-admissions #students
How does one become a Research Scientist?
My actual plan is to make it through the Biology program at Case (Western Reserve University) and then be accepted into their Genetics Graduate program. Just in case that doesn't work, my back-up plan is a research Scientist in Biology. Problem is, I'm not sure how to become one! I'd appreciate some insight. Anything and everything is welcome. Thanks! #college #biology #graduate #research #students #college-student #genetics
Given that they are used in a constructive manner, how much does having social media (such as Facebook, Instagram, etc...) improve your chances of receiving scholarships?
I have been applying for the scholarships that students qualify for in their junior year of high school, and many of them ask you to post statements to your social media to improve your chances of receiving the scholarship. I do not have social media accounts and was wondering if making these accounts for the purpose mentioned above improve my chances or are they looking for active usage of these accounts? #college #students #scholarship #graduates #committees #enrollment #officials

How do I know what major to select?
Throughout the early stages of my college career, I was unsure of what I wanted "to be when I grew up." With so many choices, I understand many other students are wondering the same thing. I wanted to expand the clarity from other individuals on what newly applied students should do in this case. #college #teaching #teacher #students #professors #graduates #undecided
doctor or dentist, i m confused
Hey. I hope you're doing good! I am confused about my future. This summer i have to choose my colleges, and my conselour told me that if i have my goal in my mind it would be easier for me to decide which college is the right one for me. I always wanted to make my parents proud of me, so i decided to become a doctor( physician or pediatrician) and show them that whatever they did for me, all the struggle and everything they went thtough, was and is worth it. I want them to make them feel proud, and happy. So i decided to become a doctor. Last year, i went to my cousin wh is a dentist and she has a cousin that is studying to become a doctor and she can't pass her MCAT. Okay first of all, i like both jobs even though doctor is my dream i don t have dentistry. I am thiking about dentistry cause a pediatrician and a physician is always on emergency calls and also they don't have time for their families. A dentist has some hours to go to work and they have some days off to, at times. ALso, a denitst studies 8 years while a doctor have to do residency too. I want to live a simple future, a smile life. I want to come home from my job have fun with my family, my kids and everyone else. Would that be possible? Please help me out, i will read everything. Thank you so much for reading this. #doctor #medicine #students #dentist #denitistry
What advice do you have for students trying to uphold the balance between attending college and making time for hours at work?
As a college student, this seems impossible at times and often intimidates me. Sometimes as a student you feel incapable of succeeding when so much is inundated onto your plate. #college #business #nursing #jobs #graduate-school #journalism #students #work-life-balance
