How do I study Biology?

I'm a second year in college right now and I'm having a hard time retaining information and to be more specific, I'm really struggling with my biology course. I'm taking notes from our presentations and in class but I can't really seem to process the information. I did fine in my chemistry and statistics courses, so I think I just don't know how to use biology in a practical sense especially because our professor doesn't give us homework.

What are some ways that I can not only study to retain but also to understand core concepts?

I’m currently in my Junior year in college and for this semester I’m taking abnormal psychology and molecular cell biology. These two courses have a lot of information that you must know in order to pass the class and I want a more effective way to study because I don’t think the way I’m studying now is sufficient enough. Most of the time I study by just reading my textbook and writing over my notes so that I don’t forget. #medicine #studying #studying-tips #studying

What is the most important thing about moving on from highschool to college?

I've heard from multiple older acquaintances that college is more about studying than social life and others have said the opposite. I want to hear from others, that aren't very biased on their college experience, which is more important, or if there's another part of this "coming to age" transition that should be more important. This is a big conflict for me because I'm not sure what to pursue either.

How to study effectively as a mechanical engineering student?

I am currently in high school and I have always been an honors student but, I never study. The only time that I have actually studied was in elementary school and the beginning of my freshman year. And the times that I do ´study´, is ten minutes before my exam... Due to this, I am worried that high school is too easy for me so I won´t be prepared enough for college. I understand that mechanical engineering is very math heavy and although I am good at it, I am worried that I will not excel in math in college. Also, I don´t know how to program or draw so there´s that :( I really don´t see myself doing anything else but STEM so I want to use my senior year as a time to really prioritize on studying and forming healthy habits. I am a VERY big procrastinator but I still get my work done. So, what are the best study methods to use for an eventual mechanical engineering student who is very lazy? Thank you!
