Is college really worth it?
I understand the need for a further education in order to preform skills at higher paying jobs, but is having the debt of college loans and spending all that time really worth it in the long run? Neither of my parents finished college and they seem to be doing more than fine, but they also don’t posses the skills to go any further in life. It’s scary to think that if college doesn’t work out for you, it could completely sabotage your future, but most people make it seem necessary in order to ever become successful. So is college really worth the money, time, effort, and stress or is there another way to become successful-other than winning the lottery of course. #payingforcollege #isitworththerisk #success

Do you have to be a 'math person' or a 'science person' to be successful in STEM?
I understand that most anyone can major most anything if they work hard and are persistent. However, it is clear that some of my peers are much quicker with learning concepts within STEM than I am, or it feels like their minds are just wired to do mental math or calculate or work through quantitative reasoning with ease and grace. It takes me a lot more explaining and thinking to understand some concepts in my math and chemistry classes and I admittedly still use a calculator double check my multiplication and other arithmetic. I admittedly am very talented in other ways--working with people, thinking outside of the box, writing, and other qualitative skills-- but does this mean I'm doomed to only be mediocre in a STEM field, even if I manage to get the degree? #skills #choosing-a-major #success #stem #mathematics #science
Can I get some advice?
Here's the situation: I will be taking an architectural course in college, I'm now in 12th grade but I decided to just finish this school year and I will be taking a break for the next academic year because of personal issues (I am experiencing depression and anxiety attacks. I'm healing and fighting don't worry). I will be using this time to improve on my health, skills (like practice drawing and learning new stuff), spiritual growth, and all of that sort of stuff. Maybe I'll get a job too or get into business. I need advice from other people on what I'm going through. Because I feel like I'm lost and unsure with what I plan to do. It would be nice to receive an advice/opinion/suggestion. Thanks! (To explain further, I'm taking a break from studying because I am being bullied in school by my teachers and students. Yes, including my teachers. For me, this is a very traumatic experience because I don't know why they're doing this to me. I was suicidal but I just put my trust in God and that he will save me from this situation (I also believe in karma) and so I'm keeping a positive mindset and continue making the most out of this life. #success #college #jobs #architect #school #career #business #health
Are extroverted people the most successful?
Throughout high school, I noticed that most teachers prefer a student that is loud and opinionated. Me on the other hand, would be loud when it came to talking with my friends and family. How do I know for sure when the job is the one? The one where I'm happy to be at?
My dad majored in economics and loved it, but ever since then, he hasn't found a job that he actually enjoyed. I don't want to be in the same situation my dad was. I want to enjoy my job and be excited to go each day. #happiness #enjoyment #success
This may sound silly, but WHY doesn't instant success happen to most people?
I'm a freshman in college and I tend to be an idealist... I don't expect to be "instantly successful" out of college because according to my dad, that's unheard of/rare. But WHY are most people NOT instantly successful. Why is it such a long process? What keeps people from being instantly successful. Though I agree with Jon Stewart, creativity comes from LIMITS not freedom. Thanks! #college #job-search #success #life-skills #life-transitions #personal-development
