I have found a mentor that is a professor and a social worker with her own practice. When we first met we discussed things I could do, such as research and just asking questions in general, one of her suggestions was to shadow, but we were both concerned about the ethical dilemmas that would form as I am a highschool student although I do dual psychology classes at college which technically made me a college student. Many college students shadow professionals in the mental health field because they are studying that field, would this make it more acceptable if I were to shadow my mentor while obviously following HIPAA laws, ethical concerns, and getting the patients okay.

Some of my friends have told me that when applying to internships, especially in computer science, the thing that matters most is submitting a lot of applications and avoiding applications with required cover letters because they require too much time. For context, I am taking 3 APs and an astronomy community college class. I am struggling the most with astronomy, physics, and math. What are good summer programs in Europe for August September?
I am a student from Germany and i won't have semester break before August. I would love to spend my free time from August- mid October studying more and doing some summer schools or other programs in the are of international relations/politics/diplomacy/.. However all the programs in Europe that i found start before august and i therefore won't be able to attend them. Does anyone have any good ideas what to do around this time of the year? Of course internships are also an option but i can't seem to find one that is fitting me.
