When do you come to terms of accepting failure or deciding to quit?

I began college as a Animal Science major and realized it wasn't for me. I'm currently a Psychology major, but I'm hoping to still be eligible of becoming a vet student. I keep holding onto the idea that you don't have to be a traditional vet student to be qualified. I have no direction of what I want to do anymore. Currently, I'm planning my degree and I don't know if all the trouble of taking science classes is worth it. Since middle school, all I've wanted was to be a vet surgeon, and now I don't know if I'm holding on to that dream out of my own pride or genuine desire. Any advice or personal stories to get me through this emotional hurdle would be most appreciated. #veterinary #veterinarian #psychology #veterinary-medicine #college

How did you decide which career to pursue when you have so many interests?

I’m a 25 year old woman that has too many interests to count. I’m currently a science major, but I constantly doubt if that’s what I want my degree in. I’m interested in pursuing vet school, law, and I’ll be starting a coding boot camp in December! #career-choice #forensic #veterinarian #law #tech

A counselor told me that to be able to go to a University I should start doing extracurricular activities like clubs, sports, etc.(I am not athletic what so ever). My question is, Is it really that necessary?

I don't always have time for extracurricular activities, I also don't work but I have chores and lots of homework every night, I'm taking 4 AP classes right now ( I'm a junior in high school). Just thinking about joining a club and staying after-school sounds like too much stress! ( I know I want to study in the medical field even though I can be terrible at math and science) #psychology #nursing #medicine #nurse #pediatrics #veterinarian

Should I minor in Spanish or Wildlife when I plan on becoming a wildlife veterinarian (hopefully at a zoo)?

I will be entering college this fall, majoring in Animal Sciences. This major covers animals extensively, but should I choose a minor in wildlife to gain even more understanding? However, I have also heard that it is extremely beneficial to know more than one language, so should I minor in Spanish? Which would most likely end up being more beneficial in the end? #medicine #veterinary #veterinary-medicine #veterinarian #pre-veterinary-medicine

I really want to be a veterinarian, but I struggle a lot with science and math so can anyone give me advice on how to tackle this on.

I love animals, but I hate science and math. I am bad at both and have not had good teachers to help me with my trouble in it. I don't want this to stop me from pursuing my dream and making me regret not trying so is there anyone who has been in the same boat as me? I am very intimidated because in the interviews I've seen about vets, they all had a passion for science which made veterinary school more interesting for them. #veterinarian #career #animals #veterinary #science

So I just finished my sophmore year of Highschool and I'm trying to figure out what I'm passionate about. Something that I've thought about is rescuing/healing animals. I don't know many jobs that's deal with that cause I'm pretty clueless when it comes to all that right now but I wanted to ask what are some positives and negatives of becoming a vet and what are other jobs that deal with helping animals that pay well? #job #veterinarian #animals #veterinary #veterinary-medicine #higschool #help #vet

I am stuck between wanting to be a Photographer and being an animal trainer...How do I decide which would benefit me more?

My whole life I have LOVED animals, I've lived with many different species and kinds of animals. Everywhere from a classic house cat or dog, I've had birds, lizards, fish, ferrets, bunnies, guinea pig's, snakes, all the way to weird exotic animals like a capybara, zebra, we had an elephant, kangaroo, we've had normal farm animals like horses, cows, goats, pigs, chickens, turkeys, ducks, ect. Besides loving to learn about all my different animals I always, always did photoshoots with my animals. As my photography teacher has always said "I have an eye for the difference" I see things differently than others, I look at things in a different perspective. #animals #veterinarian #zoology #Photo #Photography #Help #Collage

What steps should I take to become a veterinarian? And how has this pandemic effected vet clinics and hospitals.

I'm a sophomore in high school who has a passion for helping animals. I've been deeply passionate about becoming a vet because of an incident that happened with my puppy. When I arrived at the hospital after school I saw the animals and their owners waiting it hurts my heart knowing they need help. I saw the relief the doctors and nurses gave to the animals and owners, including me, which is what opened my eyes to the job I wanted and loved. What steps should I take to achieve my goal and dream and how has this pandemic affected the work in clinics and hospitals? #veterinarian #animals #veterinary-medicine #veterinary

Any advice on how to successfully complete college being a single mom?

I recently just found out that I'm expecting, and I'm only 18 years old. Right now I'm in my second semester of college, but my baby is due in September which will be the first semester of my sophomore year. I want to be a Veterinarian which means I have a long way to go until I'm completely done with schooling. My current major is Biology, and its already hard enough with an unborn child. Is there anybody who has been in my shoes or that can give me advice on how to succeed? #singlemom #teenmom #veterinary-medicine #veterinarian #biology #women-in-stem #stem #college-advice

What should I major in/should I even go to college?

I’m 16 and a senior in high school. I want to do something with animals but not necessarily become a vet. I could volunteer at shelters but I’m not sure what I want my main career to be. I was thinking maybe real estate or architecture or maybe even run my own animal sanctuary but I’m not sure I need to go to college for any of those things. I’m not sure what I want to do or be after high school. Any advice? #veterinarian #college #college-major #real-estate #architecture #senior #16 #animals #volunteer #career #animal-sanctuary

How did you decide on your career?

Hi, i am in 9th grade and constantly worry about my future. I am always online googling information that i hope will give me something to let me know that i would be useful in a certain profession. I want to understand how people came to choose their professions, without knowing if they would be good at it or not. I love animals and want to possibly be a vet, but i am worried i am not smart enough, or it isn't the right fit. I have many other interests too, and don't know what i will be best at in the future... #technology #veterinarian #surgeon #photography #animals #laboratory #modeling #anesthesiologist
