What are some tips and suggestions to becoming a professional Photographer or Videographer?
I am a junior in high school and ever since I was little I had been interested in Photography and Videography (Probably because I grew up in a family of Photographers). Though I had been trying to get more and more into these two subjects because I usually like being able to capture the moment(s). So, I was wondering if there would be any tips and advice that I could get in order to be able to become successful in these two subjects as either a full-time or part-time job. I heard that it is very hard for those who have photography as a priority because it is difficult trying to find someone who will be interested in your specific style in both photography and videography. It would be helpful knowing how to start off and put yourself out there where people would be able to properly acknowledge the story that the picture or film is trying to put across... Starting off has never been a problem but the motivation has been a struggle when I doubt the end product. How are people also so confident in what they produce? #photography #videography #job-skills #photojournalism #digital-photography #video-production #video #media-production
What sort of advice could you give to someone who just switched their major to Film/Video studies?
I was just wondering if there were any film or video production people out there who want to lend a hand? I just switched my major to Film/Video Production in the middle of this past spring semester since I've always been interested in learning more about this, especially video editing. So, because I just switched somewhat recently, I've only taken a couple summer courses to catch up, meaning that I'm pretty new to a lot of things. So, is there any advice, tips, or general help that anyone can give me? I know one thing; I need to make stuff and keep making stuff. But what do I even make? I guess I'm stuck in that way, but I also want to do and learn whatever I can! Thanks. #film #video #film-production #video-production #video-editing

In a career path as competitive as film, how do you stay unintimidated and focused?
I've had a dream to be a filmmaker for as long as I can remember, and make my own films whenever possible. It's no secret that getting into the business is extremely hard, and often times if you do not have the right networking or connections your dreams can quickly seem unreachable. For this reason, I propose the question, how do you stay unintimidated by the competition that may surround me in this field? #film #networking #director #video #producer #cinema #focused
Is there any advice for someone who might want to be a Youtuber?
Ever since I came to America in 2004, I have been fascinated with the American way of life. Here people don't wait for their dream to happen, they make it happen on the spot. There are Youtubers who have been on YouTube since 2005, but these people never gave up. They kept making videos, and now they are getting deals and living the dream that they wanted. I really started getting into it once I saw the different things I could do. On YouTube you could be a makeup guru, a game guru, a college guru, a fashion guru, a hair guru, even a damn guru guru. Many people say it is stupid to do that, and not everyone could do it, but my question is "Should I try it?" #college #technology #university #tech #film #editing #youtube #video

Can i go to a fine arts college after getting my bachelors in finance?
I'm going to the University of Pittsburgh in the fall for a finance degree because I had it implanted in my brain that i would go and get a bachelors in finance, go to medical school, and be some sort of physicians assistant. Now that i'm getting older and starting to have some self realization, I'm starting to realize that I love being creative and expressing myself and making things come to life like in video production and design and now i don't really know how to achieve that. I figured i could just get the bachelors degree in finance as a back up and then go to the Art Institute of Pittsburgh later to work on that career, but i'm concerned that when I go there I'm not going to fit in or do as well because I imagine myself being surrounded by tons of artists. Is this as good decision or am I fooling myself into thinking I could succeed at this. I don't have much family support (father) when it comes to the fine arts. He thinks its a wasted field and that it's more of a hobby than a career. #fine-art #video #production #film-editing #online-gaming
What job appeals to extremely outgoing and creative people?
I want to do something in a field that makes me happy and allows me to be myself but while still making money, but it seems that jobs in 2020 that are availbale don't appeal to people in artsy careers or design fields. #design #film #graphics #fine-art #video #creativity
