How to engage more audiences on Linkedin?

To all professionals reading this post, thank you for your precious time! I hope all is well on your end! :) Context: I like to use Linkedin to look for jobs and connect with like-minded people. However, my posts don't usually generate a lot of views. I don't know how LinkedIn algorithm works behind the scene, but I believe there must be some tricks people use to generate traffic (hashtags or tagging influencers) Questions: 1. What are some other useful tips to engage more audiences (or even recruiters) on Linkedin? 2. How to become a content creator ? (some people post about their job searching experience and received over 1k likes & dozens of comments?! jaw-dropping) #linkedin #career #HR #recruiters #technology #algorithm #writer #influencer #contentCreator #strategy #consulting #careeradvice #professionals

I am 30, a freelance writer, ADHD, with too many interests, confused what to choose. Any help?

I have multiple interests like filmmaking, movies, art/digital art, fiction writing/novel, screenwriting, basically anything related to story and the craft of storytelling in any medium- writing, visual, etc. With that, I am also too driven for pyschology, self-help, sprituality and philosphy stuff. Then some business aspect with blogging or online stuff attracts me too with the same with Youtube. I am fascinated with content creation for a long time. Having diagnosed with adhd, choosing one thing feels painful and like i am leaving a part of my personality behind, missing out. Even though i entertained the fact that i can be all or most or some one by one over time, and not have to choose. you know the specialization vs generalization thing. But struggling with the concept of not being master in one as well. Any help on this, any resource or anything will be great!

How can you improve your writing skills without attending any classes?

I've always wanted to be a writer. However, I've never considered making it my full-time job/career. At most, I would be a part-time writer. I have two main obstacles to writing: 1.) Time: normally, I would take workshops, free online classes, etc. to help improve my writing skills, but I struggle finding time. I am a full time student who works, and I have a very demanding dog (aka drama queen). 2.) I find my writing style boring. I can write a great paper for school, but usually on topics that tend to be more objective. I struggle finding/using my voice to connect with my reader. I would like to have more intrapersonal style. So, writers of Career Village, what do you suggest? Should I make it a goal to write something everyday (i.e. use writing prompts, etc.)? Or do you suggest something else?

Where do you get your inspiration when you are out of ideas?

When writer's block hits, what do you do to combat that? I find that oftentimes when I am writing, I'll run out of ideas for my story, abandon it, and start something new, only for the cycle to begin all over again.

Where can I develop my writing skills while still making money for college?

I'm fresh out of high school, and I've been writing short, fictional stories for 3+ years now. I've done a bit of research and it seems like all of the quick money is in copywriting, article writing, or editing. I feel like I'm quite skilled at fictional writing, but I have no idea where to start with professional, published article writing. My question is where I can find a way to make a quick buck while developing my writing skills? #writing #journalism #author #writer #college #copywriting #editing #creative-writing

How can I start writing a book based on my life?

I am a Junior in college for my bachelors degree in creative writing and English. I always dreamt of writing my own book based off my life and maybe even turn it into a series of books as I grow older. As much as I can see myself in the near future publishing my first book, I do not know where to begin. This question was asked by a student who wanted to remain anonymous.

I'm a sophomore in high school and I'm exploring my career options. What are some career options that align with these interests and what are some helpful next steps I can take in the near future?

At school I'm mostly interested in English while my hobbies include writing, criticizing or praising movies and music, photography, and anything that has to do with design or visual art. Topics that intrigue me are politics, debate, and changing the world for the better #arts #film-production #film-acting #film-editing #media-production #filmdirector #director #writer #film #editing #english #career #design

I really like writing and have thought about being a play writer but a lot of my friends and teacher say that it would be a really hard profession.

How do you choose which path to take after finishing your B.A.?

I'm currently in my senior year of a Bachelor's degree in Performing Arts (creative writing minor). I've always wanted to do lots of different jobs and I'm still not sure about what I want to do after graduating! I'm thinking of becoming a writer (screenwriter, poet, songwriter). Maybe I should pursue my studies with a Master's degree but to be honest, I'm getting bored of theoretical courses. I'm still young for my grade (19) and I find it stressful to make decisions that will affect my future. I'm afraid I'll regret them later.

How do I proceed when I have a lot of possible careers but not enough experience in any to work full-time?

I realized late into my college experience that I didn't want to work a math job at all so I finished out my Math degree and am now struggling to find a full-time job I feel qualified for. I have a list of 5 or so potential careers (Including but not limited to: Singer-Songwriter, Writer, Naturalist, Photographer, Artist), but I don't feel like I'm at the point where I could pursue any of them full-time. I'm wondering if I should just get a math job and explore the other options in my free-time, if I should just find any job related to my current interests, or if I should put off getting a full-time job until I get a little clearer in my objective. I'm alright on cash for now, I'd just prefer not to live with my parents for longer than I have to. I'm most likely overthinking this and you probably would need some more information to give a solid path forwards, but whatever. I'm here to listen. Thanks for all your help!

Have you ever regretted becoming an author?

I have always wanted to be an author, but I am aware of how many writers give their all into their book and for whatever reason, are unable to get a publishing company to pick it up. Or else it flopped in sales and ended up not making enough money to make it worth printing, much less living comfortably off of.
