What can I do in order to prepare myself to be most successful in pursuing an Kinesiology degree?

I have a passion for fitness, science, and nutrition, which makes a Kinesiology degree prefect for me. However, I wish to begin my college career as prepared as possible, and I am curious as to what steps I need to take to be on the correct path to the degree of my dreams. #fitness...

Is it better to have a double major or 1 major with several minors?

For your areas of interest, how do you plan to manage your areas of study? I know some students with a double major and 4 minors. Is this the expectation? The new standard that we have to compete with? Or is this what works for a percentage of our peers? What combination of major & minor do...

Darryl Eng | Creative Director | Art Director | Designer Hi Caitlin, Great choice of careers! I have a BFA in Studio Art (Visual Communications), and I've been a working design professional for over 30 years. The best thing about graphic design for me is coming up with interesting visual solutions to various problems. It's kind of like solving a puzzle where you're given certain pieces (eg., job parameters), and you get to make the final picture (with input from others).   Over the course of my career, I've worked in different capacities as a designer (production artist, graphic designer, art director, creative director, etc.), so there's a wide variety of projects and skill sets involved. I've created just about everything that can be printed, from stationery systems and direct mail, to billboards and environmental graphics. I've also done a lot of interactive media work. I've created countless banner ads, e-cards, websites, and similar items.   The main thing I do, however, is to interact with other people. Whether it's an outside vendor or a coworker, a big part of my job has always involved communication. One of the most valuable assets you can cultivate is to learn to be a great listener, and try not to have too many fixed ideas about anything. Be flexible, stay curious, and you'll do fine. Best of luck to you!
