A work philosophy sums up what you value in your profession. For example, if you value teamwork, include something in the philosophy about the benefit of working with others to accomplish a task or a Project, helping people and serving customers. Other work philosophies are motivation, commitment, dedication and loyalty towards work, commitment results in dedication hard work and best results. Things to learn include organization goals, its Vision and Mission, its market niche, risk, demand and competition. Last but not the least Adaptability (work philosophy should include reasonable willingness to adapt and fit in to the environment ) healthy philosophy towards work requires direct and effective communication with others including asking people for advice and how could you do your job in a best possible way. A personal philosophy is your thoughts, beliefs, concepts, and attitudes about everything.

This is indeed a philosophical question!

Every job has its own philosophy built around a general foundational philosophy !
First of all, I love my job - (Product Marketing Manager for global Managed Local Area Network Services serving large enterprise and multinational customers). If you do not love your job it is difficult to survive in it, let alone succeed in it.

To succeed in my job I need to learn what my customers want today, next year, and 3 to 5 years in the future. That gets me to read, research industry trends, business trends, technology trends and shift to plan my next service or service feature development. That means I am constantly learning while working! Every job requires learning constantly and the right philosophy is to like learning about your job and changes to your job constantly and adopt and embrace change!

People and businesses who adopt to change succeed and who do not perish.

Select the right job, the one you are passionate about and like
Continue to learn every aspect of the job currently and see where and how the job will be transformed in a few years
Strategize how to evolve yourself to continue to strive and succeed in the job

Find something you are passionate about and enjoy doing then you will love going into work everyday.
I work with integrity everyday and enjoy leaving at the end of the day knowing I did my best.
I try to be helpful and supportive of coworkers.
Work with passion and purpose.
And I of course have lots of fun.

My philosophy about my job has changed over the years. It has changed based on the positions I've held as well as my own personal development has improved.

It's great if you are able to work at a job doing something you are passionate about. Makes almost every aspect of the job easier, but if you are not passionate about what you are doing, but making a decent living, that can be OK too. There were times I worked jobs bc they paid the bills and put food on the table, or were a means to an end. Ultimately, you are more than your job.

I look at the job I have now and am happy where I am at because I worked hard to get here and I am doing something I enjoy, working with people I enjoy working with, while also being able to provide for my family, and balance my work life and family/personal life. I have other career goals I'd like to hit. My mindset has always been to do my job to the best of my ability while also preparing myself for the next steps of what I would like to do or try. I take into consideration the skills I have, the ones I need to learn, and the ones I need to develop. I take into consideration the ability to provide for my family, but also have a life outside of my job. I also take into consideration the culture of the job/company I work for and if it fits my personality.
