Hi Jacob. There are lots of online resources and courses for learning web design. Getting a formal education in design might be helpful too. However, the most important skills today are in AI and Vibe Coding. Keep in mind that with rapid changes in AI, web design jobs might not be around in a few years. It could be a good idea to look into user experience design as well, not just web design.

Hi, Jacob! I wouldn't worry too much about formal education right now. You can check out online resources like http://www.codecademy.com/ or https://hourofcode.com/us to start seeing what is involved. I assume you have access to a computer that you can mess around with. Learn all you can as your hobby now, and then worry about what major to take in college when that time is closer. In the mean time, you might try connecting to any local groups of kids your age who like to code, and if there aren't any, start one! Web development can be a very collaborative job, so why not belong to a group now so you can bounce ideas off of each other? This is a good way to learn and also teach others.
