How do Nail Techs find opportunities for apprenticeships instead of just going to beauty school?

To meet the requirements to get your Nail Tech license how do you go about it if you don't want to attend beauty school?

Hello, Aleena !

You wouldn't be able to actively work as a nail technician unless you go through the required training which includes the education, learning the techniques and hygiene practices, customer service, and practical experience in at least 600 hours which your state of Washington requires. In order to be Licensed in your state, you will need to pass a written exam and a practical exam doing nails as they observe you. You wouldn't be qualified to take the Licensing exam unless you go through a Nail Tech Program.

Mostly all careers that involve the responsibility of working on people's bodies require a Licensure. It certifies your ability to be able to do it. There are always requirements for many careers and it's a way of affirming the person's qualification. The study for a profession is a process and education, training and experience are crucial to the learning experience and a person's ability to do the work.

Think about it more and maybe you'll change your mind later on and decide to take the process you will need. There is no apprenticeship for doing nails. There is liability and great responsibility when it is work done directly with bodily contact. If you have any other questions, do feel free to return here and ask. Best wishes in all you do !
