Why is it so difficult for me to focus on anything school related?

I was able to get away with my terrible focus abilities in the past because the classes were easier but now I’m feelings the presence of these problems.

Hi Michael,

I understand how frustrating this can be, especially as things get tougher. School can be challenging when you're struggling with focus, but don’t worry. Being aware of the problem is a great first step toward dealing with it and eventually overcoming it. We live in a world full of distractions, so it's completely normal to lose focus from time to time. But if you’re noticing it happening frequently, maybe it’s time to try something different.

I had a similar experience when I started university. At first, I thought it would be just as easy, and that I could follow the same strategies that worked in high school. But I quickly realized that they weren’t working. In class, I found myself drifting further away each time, thinking about the future instead of focusing on the lessons. That’s when I changed my approach. I started watching the lessons online, in a quiet space, and it made a huge difference. Instead of losing focus when I didn’t understand something, I could pause and go back in the recording to catch up.

I’m not saying this is the right strategy for you, but I just want to show you that trying a new approach might help you find what works best for you. Sometimes, small adjustments can make a big difference.
