1. **Local Search**: Start by looking online or asking around your community. Check with local banks, businesses, or organizations. Our kids received scholarships from their Grandma's Credit Union, which is similar to a bank in New Jersey.

2. **College Resources**: When applying to colleges, use their scholarship portals. Apply to as many as you can because many scholarships go unused each year simply due to a lack of applicants.

3. **Essay Writing**: Most scholarships require an essay. If you’re good at writing, take advantage of this opportunity.
