What was the hardest thing about freshman year?
I am going to be an hour and a half away from home, and living with new people and taking my first in-person college science course. What is one thing I should focus one?

The first year is a difficult transition. Focus on your studies, but also try to surround yourself with positive and supportive people. Remember to take care of yourself, mind, body, and soul. It is hard, but it can be a wonderful experience that can change your life for the better in all areas.
Remember who you are and believe in your dreams. You are exceptional and empowered to do great things. If you believe it you can make it happen.

The freshman year can be challenging. My advice is to try to find an organization or club or something similar on campus for something you are interested in. There are usually orgs for anything/everything and it will help you build a community of friends there. That's what I did, and it helped me tremendously!
