How can I combine my passion for ministry and public service with a career that also supports long-term financial stability?
I’m a high school student passionate about faith, missions, and helping those in need. I feel called to ministry, and I’m especially drawn to serving in cross-cultural or international settings. I’ve been actively involved in church leadership, children’s ministry, and community outreach. I’m also a strong language learner and love exploring different cultures, which I hope will help me connect with people from all backgrounds. While I’m deeply committed to this path, I’m also thinking about long-term financial stability and how to build a sustainable career around my calling. I’d really appreciate any advice from people who’ve balanced passion with practical planning.

This is a very important question! As a professional who volunteers with many ministries (both international and domestic), it is difficult to find the balance between passion and security. In my opinion, follow the call that you are passionate about. Partner with others who do the same and support the same values and morals. You will find partners along the way who will help support you in Ministry. As for long term financial security, this is a result of discipline with what you've been given. Be a good steward not only with your finances, but with everything you've been blessed with.
