Why aren't I winning any scholarships?
I am a senior in high school attending the University of Minnesota Twin Cities in the fall for Sport Management. I've applied for many scholarships and haven't won any of them. What am I doing wrong?

Hi Kelton! There is often a lot of competition for scholarships. You may not be doing anything wrong.
However, ensure you are taking your time with the applications, especially for the ones that you think that you might have the best shot getting. Make sure you are customizing your application to what that organization cares about, so that you are emphasizing the things they think are important. Good luck!

I understand how frustrating it can be to navigate financial aid, but without knowing your background, it is hard to give advice. One potential avenue to explore is local scholarships offered by your high school or community. I applied for numerous scholarships from local businesses, and they varied in amount—$250, $500, $5,000. Every bit helps, and these smaller scholarships can add up significantly over time. Have you looked into local scholarship opportunities?
